He can be a damn good director though.
I'm starting to think, fuck it. Make this movie cg and have all the voice actors reprise their role. The fox engine is pretty damn near photo realistic, just some tweaking, some super computers to pump out better visuals (shadows particularly), and you have a movie with visuals on par with the spirits within (hopefully with better writting at least...).
GTFO with this shit. Ben Affleck is horrible on every possible level. Only way this movie would work is if they put some director to assist Kojima. Kojima would write the script and tell them what the fuck to do.
Otherwise, it's gonna be some asshole writer that's gonna make Snake into part cyborg part Rambo trying to save world from Metal Gear that's actually a weapon sent to earth by aliens to eradicate man kind.
Thank god Michael Bay is only the producer. Director will be Owe Boll and script pinned by M.Night Shamalamadingdong cause we know how good he is with twist.
What's real funny is that Uwe Boll tried to say he got a script for Metal Gear while back.. Kojima had heard and basically said "Fuck that, we wouldn't let him touch Metal Gear"
All kidding aside I could see Terry O'quinn pulling off a great Campbell.
I hope they keep the "Snake Eater" song at least.
Holy crap Tom Hardy and that other dude could work well. Fuck no to Ben Affleck though. -_-
Russel Crowe as Snake.
Can't somebody get David Hayter some acting lessons and just have him do it?
he doesnt look like snake though, and im sure he makes all sorts of faces when doing snake's face
Quick, someone develop a de-aging device for Kurt Russell to play Snake (again).
Also, Kurtwood Smith = Colonel Campbell.
Affleck was in fact excellent in the Town.
he also directed it, but everything other than that he sucks in, oh aside from good will hunting, but he probably was not acting in the least in that movie
http://www.insidegamingdaily.com/201...-movie-script/Back in August, Konami and Metal Gear Solid creator and founder of Kojima Productions Hideo Kojima announced that a Metal Gear Solid movie was in the works. Given his creation of the franchise and design work on the games, it’s possible that Kojima will be working on the movie’s script, or so he said.
During today’s Metal Gear event in Tokyo, Kojima was out and about the event discussing the franchise, especially the major differences that stand out between it being a movie and a game. Kojima, interestingly, does not have final word on the film, but did mention that he’s tossing around the idea of working on its script.
In his mind, he wouldn’t be against calling it simply, ‘Metal Gear Solid.’
Producer on the project, Ari Avad, though, took a liking to the name “Project Ogre”, the same codename used for one of Kojima’s in-progress projects. At today’s event though, Kojima very firmly stated that the movie is “not” Project Ogre, and that Project Ogre is something else entirely.
Project ogre project ogre, I keep hearing about it but wtf is it?
his new secret game, I think it involves a forest and a horse lol
