I'll be going to this. There is appearently going to be a 15 minute demo for Ace Attorney 5 at the show, so I'll be looking for it despite my Capcom hatred

Sony to Show Prototype Head-Mounted Display at TGS

Sigh.
I realize it was probably in development before John Carmack ever opened his mouth, but this is likely going to be seen as trying to jump on the Oculus Rift bandwagon.

And of course, it'll only work with the PS3/4, and Sony won't support Rift use with the PS3/4. -.-

Got the account setup, going to hang out in BG Chat while it's running, but I'm not expecting much from the stream if last year's TGS was a sign of things.

Well, the PS3 is running on 6 year old hardware at this point. That's like saying Microsoft has a 360 that's cheaper than a 3DS.


Anyways, is there a list of all the stream times for conferences? I can't find one on the English TGS site, nor do I want to venture the Japanese one with my very limited understanding of the language.

They are releasing these lame ass bundles and won't let you buy the new PS3 model alone it seems. Weak.

So I just got back from TGS. My impressions:

-Lines were very long to play games, ranging anywhere from 70-110 minutes to play anything.
-The only game I did wait in line for was Fist of the North Star 2. Game looks superb; the graphics are better and the HUD looks better too. I have very high expectations for this game, I think it's going to be very good. You could play as a couple different characters in the demo, I picked Kenshiro. They also had a Kenshiro statue I took a picture with (trying to copy his look as much as possible).
-Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes was shown but it was pretty much the same trailer we've already seen.
-Tales of Xillia 2 was the most popular game being shown, many people were in line for it and many of them had Xillia goods bags. It does look very good.
-Namco's Project X Zone was being shown. I didn't get a chance to play, but I watched others play and it looks pretty fun honestly.
-I was watching people play mobile Capcom games. Megaman Xover looks like the worst garbage I've ever seen, Megaman X iphone version bad. SFxT on iphone looks pretty much like SF4 Bolt. They had an RE game too, RE Versus or something. I barely noticed it or RE6.
-The best booth by far was the Ace Attorney 5 booth. It was set to look like the game's courtroom and it had a life-sized Phoenix Wright statue on one side. They only let people in at certain times so I didn't bother waiting for it. They weren't showing the game on any big TVs, because there were many 3DSes lined up on the "jury side". It was a really cool looking booth, I was very impressed by it. I wish I got to play though.
-Monster Hunter had one of the biggest booths, it looks cool but I didn't look at it for long.
-The Capcom store line was the longest of all of them, it was 2 hours long to just get in.
-I was surprised but the Sega booth DID NOT show Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed. Very strange considering it's an upcoming game and it does look very good.

Loot obtained:

-They had a Game Center CX booth, so I bought an Arino document folder. On the front it says "Wanted Dead or Alive: For too much playing the TV game". It came with a second for the King character as well.
-They had a booth just for Capcom books and music, the line was very short so I bought a Rockman Arranged CD from it. Has 15 songs, 3 of them being the Team Nekokan songs (Can't Beat Airman, Can't Sleep Until I beat this, Are you Really on my Side?) and some other remixes. Hyadain's Bubbleman song is on here too, which is kinda funny and awesome.
-I got a free bag of 3DS accessories from some accessory company, can't remember their name. Little use to me since I don't have a 3DS and I probably won't buy one, although Project X Namco is looking very good.

Overall recommendations:

-Project X Zone
-Ace Attorney 5
-Fist of the North Star 2
-Tales of Xillia 2
-Maybe other stuff, nothing else really comes to mind

Not Recommended:

-Megaman Xover

Does Ken's Rage 2 feel like Warrior's Orochi 3 this time around? The first game is the only 360 game I've ever 1k/1k because of how much fun it is.
