    Teen Wolf (MTV)

    The second season just end and was pretty fucking great, miles about the first. Saw there wasn't a thread about it and don't know if anyone else watches it or not.

    Teen Wolf is show for gay men and straight girls and pre-teens who regularly watch mtv anyway.

    Oh hey, I caught up on this show when gifs started popping up all over tumblr, mostly around Comic Con. It's a fun little show, not ashamed to flaunt what it's got, ie lots of buff men, although they haven't been stripping as much lately.

    24 episodes next year!

    Actually that's the same sentiment I had for Twilight. My chick wants to see a movie with vampires & werewolves. Sure, how bad can it be? Wanted to fucking kill myself the whole time. Totally regretted that damn movie.

    Honestly the books were good. It was like X-men with vampires and destructive gender roles (*cough* and at times prosaic writing *cough*). The movies were shit. Robert Pattinson cant act his way out of a paper bag.

    The books were shit. Haven't seen the movies, though most commentary I've seen of them say the opposite; that it's Kristin Stewart who can't act her way out of a paperbag.

    Teen Wolf is a niche show. I like it, but it's certainly not everyone's cup, I'll admit. Mediocre actors for the most part, though Dylan O'Brien is fucking amazing, as is his character, Stiles. I recoiled pretty hard when I heard MTV was remaking the movie, but it's distanced itself enough I think, that only the very basic premise is the same (...a teenaged werewolf named Scott...).

    It has minor issues, and stuff I'm wondering, idk if they need cut if anyone cares, but

    Why is Peter back from the dead? Saw a tumblr post say he literally came back just to sass people, and so far seems to be true. If so, hilarious, but anticlimatic after scaring the shit out of Lydia all season.
    Why did Derek's bite turn Jackson first into the Kanima, and then a wolf? And why blue eyes?

    Also, about first season, I have no clue why Peter killed Laura and was all ~mysterious and secretive~ about being the alpha, when he could have just done his little "you're pack, follow me!" bit with Derek from the start.


    It's pretty okay, but Stiles is why I keep watching it regularly.

    I wish I could answer the first bit but, he was the Kanima first because(the way the shows logic works) was that he had some inner personal issues to deal with, and the blue eyes? I think eye color must be variable, as Derek did initially start with blue eyes as well.

    No, kristin stewart doesn't act. She 's her way through every movie. Robert Pattinson tries and fails which is 100x more sinister.

    I believe the creator of the show has said that Jackson's blue eyes meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. But he could be talking out of his arse so who knows.

    Also, yes, Stiles is the reason I watch.

    I personally think that when Peter encountered Lydia in season one, he left a bit of himself behind in her brain (don't ask me how, maybe through the bites), which essentially kept a bit of him alive when his throat was slashed. So he used that connection in season two to manipulate her into resurrecting his body or some shit /hand waves

    I love Peter in season two though, so snarky and funny, I hope he's around for a while.

    Anyone else think it was strange that Gerard just let Stiles go after roughing him up a little? Seemed a bit anticlimatic. I hope that he did something evil, like hypnotise Stiles into helping him if he survived the standoff at the end, like a code word when triggered will allow him to use Stile for his own nefarious needs. It's a bit out there, but hey, that kanima shit was waaaay out there.

    Yeah, letting Stiles go was super anticlimactic, especially after that ~tense~ cliffhanger in the prior episode.

    I just love Stiles a whole bunch, though.
