That isn't the point that I'm arguing. Every year I read BG predictions, there is always the same garbage about "this being the year the Cowboys/Eagles dominate the NFC". I'm just saying it's silly. The Eagles were preseason favorites to win the Superbowl last year, and the year before that the Cowboys were everyones pick to host the superbowl in Dallas. Y'all niggas sound like a broken record.

Same thing with the Yankees. Haven't won a championship in years but they're always the on-paper favorites to win it all, every year. Sportswriters are homers like everyone else, and they have massive, massive biases. Shit, SI still had the O's ranked 20th in the league, while the Red Sox were still ranked 8th as of Sept. 1st. Its a fucking joke, but people have bias. It is what it is.

You hear the same shit year in and year out about the Boys and the Iggles winning the division and winning it all. It hasn't happened in eons, and it won't happen as long as people hype em up and they buy into the bullshit that the media creates for them. Hell, look at the circus that is the Jets. The best teams are quiet and get shit done year in and year out. Giants, Steelers, ect.

That said, Giants lost to the Skins twice last year; no one else did that, but it shows how tough the NFC Beast is; 4 teams beat the shit out of each other and whoever makes it out has a pretty damned good shot.

You do realize that SI's MLB power rankings this year were all done automatically by using FanGraph's team WAR stat right? It heavily weighs run differential, which the O's are in the negative.

Definitely all the Cowboys "fans" outside of Texas are like this, but not many that actually live in Dallas. Most ppl around here are Cowboys > UT > Rangers > Mavs > Stars in that order.

It's not that hard to grasp. Most fandom is passed on to kids from their parents, and those teams have all been very successful within the last generation. They are also nationally/globally marketed brands. Throw in ManU for soccer in there as well.

I'm saying if the Cowboys continue to suck (not win Superbowls, expectations are too high here) into the next generation of kids, those kids won't be watching Cowboy games their parents are watching because said parents will have given up on the Cowboys. Thus they won't be fans.

It's already beginning. When I was a kid (90s) the Cowboys were uber successful, every kid wanted to emulate Aikman and Emmitt when playing pick up after school. My little cousins and their friends are all Elvis/Hamilton/Kinsler and Dirk emulators.

Maybe in 20 years this will be a Rangers-first town.
