Whoa whoa whoa whoa. I just realized this is 13-3 and not 13-2. I'm going to need to play that before I even consider buying this.. and I'm going to need to have an income before I can consider buying a ff game that flew under my radar.

I quite liked XIII-2 (well, the first hour and the last 3-4 hours mostly), I want this one to be good but Kitase seems ridiculously deluded about people's opinions of Lightning.

Where did he say there is any other genre that has good plot. What does it have to do with anything.

Just as a silly first glance impression, looking at the male polls, it almost feels like our likes vs the Japanese are completely flip flopped, haha.

I honestly liked Zack way more than Cloud, especially in Crisis Core. While the game was nothing special (the side missions being way too repetitive) that last scene was something special.

Zack is awesome just for Crisis Core as what you see in FFVII isn't enough to like him more than any real characters, unless you think the lack of depth doesn't ruin him. Overall, I felt more for Zack at the end of Crisis Core than I did for anyone in FFVII (included Aerith).

Zack was pretty great in crisis core. It takes some effort to make you sad about things you already know are gonna be happening but Crisis Core did it for me.

The second. The lack of depth makes him seem much more awesome, especially with what snippets you have: strong guy, used a huge sword, positive guy in spite of struggles, treated his parents right, treated his girlfriend well.

What's not to like, there? That was all pre-crisis core info, and that's still enough to go on. Zack was a cool dude long before SE did anything else with him.

I always liked Zack, even before Crisis Core. Back in '97 when I first saw the secret scene in the Shinra Mansion basement, I really wanted even more backstory and Zack screen-time. 11 years later I finally got it in Crisis Core (damn, I feel old now, and I'm only 25)
