Oh my god I'm falling in love with this game with the fan-service alone. Also Cloud outfit is fucking broken. lmao.

^ I am surprisingly impressed that dressing up Lightning is actually meaningful and fun in this game. It's customization heaven. Fuck the stupid story, the game is fun to play.

Just wish I could have more than 3 costumes set for battle at a time. Started the game with 9 costumes at the ark already and gotten 2 more in 30 mins @_@

I'm really scared tbh, i wasn't that good in killing fast in XIII and -2 and this won't help me lol

The time limit annoys me too, have to open eyes for quests lol (which si fine but not with the time constraint imo)

It's the "Art of War" outfit. The second of the 2 Samurai style outfits. The Utsusemi one is the mostly black one and the Art of War is Red and Purple.

you can do a first playthru in easy mode to get the hang of things, if that helps.

Once a day passes, like day 1 done, I can't ever go back? Not a huge fan of the time limit if the main story is gonna keep being forced on me >_< I like exploring.

Game seems to encourage multiple playthrus and you can essentially double your time limit through just playing the game regularly.

For the hour and change I've gotten to play with it, Aeris + The Savior + Cloud Combo is IMBA as fuck.

Start Aeris, Despell, Swap to Savior, Spam Lightning Chain, Break, Swap to Cloud, Braver.

Instantly win fight. Haven't had a fight so far where that strat hasn't worked.

Have beaten the first area in two days, and so far I am not enjoying.
Namely I miss grinding, and I also feel rushed to do everything asap, also when doing quests and what not, either the time changes so the NPCs go away, or it hits 6 and I have to go back to the ark.
Dissapointed. Hopefully it gets better. Story is pretty mush too.

Yeah the time limit is the biggest killjoy in this game. I don't care if the game expects you to go multiple playthroughs. I don't enjoy playing through rushed. I'm gonna guess thats a big factor in many of the mediocre scores.

I'm talking about the bonus outfit that comes from the Collector's Edition guide, like I mentioned in my first post you silly Quebecois

Edit: I played through day 1. I know there's plenty of time to do stuff, but it's still nerve wracking as hell having that little clock in the corner lol. This is Majora's Mask all over again, except without a song to reset the days. I am enjoying it though. I dunno if I enjoy the solo Lightning gameplay over the XIII-2 gameplay, but I've barely scratched the surface of it. I'm sure it'll grow on me

Edit2: I should mention the "Art of War" outfit came with both a PS3 and a 360 redemption code, and I've only used the PS3 one, which is what I meant in my first post.

I was planning on playing this without looking at faqs or walkthroughs but it's frustrating when you spend time doing quests and running all over just to find out the npc is only available from 6:00 - 11:00. I caved and bought the CE strategy guide off amazon.

So question, I have a couple of main city quests both going at the same time and both need to be done by nighttime. I am on day 2 I was waiting on the Luxerion Gates to close to get the last code for the cult so I went to Yusanan to work on the Snow stuff. That needs to be done by 12:30 and the Luxerion stuff needs to be done by 6:00 AM. If I miss doing one of them on this night can I just pick up where I left off on one of them on Day 3 nighttime?

Edit: Well at least for the snow one it looks like I can. Hope said I should try again tomorrow.

Game is OK so far but there are a few annoyances. Also I think I am horrible at it.

I don't feel rushed as much as I feel aimless. I only made it just past the 1st day though so it may be due to me still learning.
Having NPCS being tagged like you can talk to them only to be unable to is not a good design choice.
