http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/04...other-tidbits/More news on Ace Attorney 5 comes from Famitsu, which announced Motohide Eshiro (DmC and Ace Attorney Investigations) as the producer and Takeshi Yamazaki as the scenario writer. Yamazaki worked on Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney as a planner.
Ace Attorney 5 is set one year after the events in Apollo Justice. Phoenix Wright who lost his lawyer qualifications eight years ago returns as the main character and wears a pendant with the number "4" on it. He has a new partner, a mysterious girl wearing yellow, who will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show. Players defend Shinobu, a frail girl who is accused of causing an explosion in a courtroom, in the game’s first case. Winston Payne’s younger brother is the prosecuting attorney.
Famitsu has three screenshots that give hints about the gameplay system. One shows a bunch of silhouettes behind a target character with the word "update" on the center of the screen. Another screenshot has "courtroom minutes" in the top left and "find out" in the top right. The third screenshot shows the evidence system, which has four emoticons in the corners. Ace Attorney 5 will have 3D graphics, so it might look like Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.
The story size will be the same as previous Ace Attorney games and if you’re planning to attend TGS you can try a 15 minute demo of the game.
http://andriasang.com/con2kw/ace_attorney_5_tgs/The charged is a high school girl named Shinobu. She's very week and can go into spasms at any moment. In the courtroom, Wright will face off against Winston Payne's brother.
Wright's hand better be right in my fucking face when he objects if 3D slider set to full.
But hey, it's Capcom. We'll never get to see for ourselves if it does or not.
Maya better be in this
Please for the love of God don't be JP only like AAI2 was...
Guess Phoenix is no longer a hobo. It's pretty awesome that they're finally making another AA game, but it's hard to be hopeful for localization since it doesn't seem likely that AAI2 will be getting a translation anytime soon.
http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/05...g-to-the-west/Following a report by Pocket Gamer that Ace Attorney 5 for the Nintendo 3DS is being released in western territories, we decided to write in to Capcom ourselves, in order to confirm the situation.
Brian Keltner, PR Manager at Capcom confirmed to us:
“Capcom is planning to release Gyakuten Saiban 5 (Ace Attorney 5) in the West. We’ll have more news soon.”
As previously reported, Phoenix Wright will return as the main protagonist in Ace Attorney 5. The game takes place on year after the events of Apollo Justice. You can read more about it here.

Ace Attorney 5 Sales Forecasts Are “Aggressive” Say Capcom USA
Capcom were quick to announce a western release for Ace Attorney 5, but there hasn’t been any word on spin-off title, Ace Attorney Investigations 2, seeing a western release in any form yet.
Asked if high sales of Ace Attorney 5 and the upcoming Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD release on iOS would help sway a localization decision, Capcom USA Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson, says it wouldn’t hurt.
“AAI2 isn’t being held hostage so please don’t read this that way but if they do well, they certainly can’t hurt,” Svensson says on the Capcom forums. “Justification for higher forecasts via stronger than expected sales in the franchise would be helpful.”
Svensson also added another important point that fans may like to know.
“Bear in mind… the forecasts for AA5 I’ve put in are aggressive (high) relative to the historical performance of the franchise (needed to make sure it came over), so I’m counting on you guys to not make me a liar.”
