No because you (maybe not you specifically but many of the people in this thread) don't care one bit about anyone in jail. It's one thing to care about a murderer less than any other person, it's another thing entirely to just not give two shits what happens to someone because they're in jail.

No, idiot. What is absurd is that it took $80k worth of legal proceedings to come to a conclusion, and the wrong conclusion at that. The fact that it was even considered for that long is ridiculous. The case should have gone something like this:

"Court is in session. Ok, this convicted murderer wants the state to pay for their gender reassignment surgery? LOL NO! Case dismissed."
