As somebody who is working towards legendary but nowhere near close to one yet I'll say it again. Legendaries are fine aside from the precursors.

I'd prefer some elaborate quest chain involving something like 100% achievements. Instead it's all about gold and RNG. There's just nothing epic or legendary about the current system. It's pushing people to RMT, much like XI's ridiculous relic system did.

I'm actually relatively close to one (only missing precursor and a few 400 mats) and still believe the system is bad.

As someone who's farmed over 1 mil karma mostly doing Plinx and the chains around it, i get a huge boost in lootable corpses while in a group.

Hopefully never, we don't know to what extent they're increasing stats anyway, and I'm sure you'll be able to power through any new content in exotics anyway, much like you can get away with doing all the content right now in greens and rares. Probably just a way to add a safety net to casuals and bads and give them some drive to actually do the new content. Though I'm mostly just curious how this infusion system is gonna work and if it will add any more potential stat customization or if it'll just be boring like GW1's system. I'd much rather they introduce a system like that (or something like a merit system with neat class customization) to all current gear rather than adding a new tier of gear in general, but I don't really have an issue with it either. But I mean... the difference between exotics and legendary weapons is +3 to major stat and +2 to minor stat. For all we know the Ascended gear could have a pathetic difference like that. And for further reference, the difference between an exotic heavy body piece and a legendary heavy body piece (yes, there's some in the games files for some reason) is a massive 6 def, so that won't make any difference either.

Difference between rare and exotic is quite significant...

@Alderaan: Gold has to have at least one significant use, right now that is Legendaries. Without them it's useless after you get full exotics. And this is an mmo, it needs to have RNG in it, that is what MMOs do. RNGs are necessary in MMOs. If everything is a linear progression then you run out of things to do, and since that is already a problem in this game you really want to make that /worse/?

People are idiots and everyone should ignore anyone whining about "NOTHING TO DO" cause this game shipped with literally more "end game" content than any other MMO released in the past 900 years.

I just can't fucking fathom people shitting themselves over something that hasn't happened yet. Yes, express your distaste at something, that's fine but wait until it actually happens before you make a final judgement. For all we know it's just a fucking extra rune slot or customizable stat combinations with the same ceiling as exotics.

As long as the new gear is as easy to get as exotics are, I'm kind of ok with it. Still fucking annoying I have to regear myself every fucking content patch now, assholes. At least it's not 2-3 month of regearing every content patch like shitty other games like WOW.

That neck is bad for every class in the game except maybe guardian/ele, wtf lol

It's not fucking +3 to stats, and 3x 13 is +39 to every stat you're getting from gear, which is gigantic anyways and gives you an advantage in PVP. It's aids, and retarded. But like I said, as long as it's as easy to get as full exotics are right now I don't care that much, still fucking annoying to have to regear every god damned content patch though

Wrong, we do know. It's a full set of gear with accessories.

It's also worth noting that with the update there will be a new resource to harvest, along with 200 new crafting recipes being added. Presumably these will be focused on the ascended quality level as well, so it will be interesting to see how expensive the new recipes will be to create given the current high production costs on exotic gear.

And I read something about accessories and shit somewhere..too lazy to find it again.

You know that jump from exotic to legendary tier gives 0% stat bonuses. Ppl need to stop jumping the gun and assuming the worst. If anything ppl should pray that the new armor is NOT legendary tier because that will mean a huge money expense and grind to finish just one piece
