Much like Rift, everything went from zone events into the dungeons. Game developers/designers never seem to learn from past games.

Its much easier to develop content for a closed environment like a dungeon which has very little interference from outside forces, just makes that stuff less buggy when its deployed. Orr covering 3 zones, yeah it was a nice idea just to give some sort of scale to the world and how big the dragon would be for controlling that area. I whole heartedly agree that risen mobs are a pain in the arse but lets face it, we get the disappointing part of the game out of the way now and get better things later on.
CS is the main hub because it has fast resetting events with lots of mob waves which maximizes your potential loot drops and therefor money gain. Yes the dungeon karma is better and there's probably better rewards from some dungeon speed runs like AC/CoF, But players might not enjoy running dungeons everyday for gold/karma and want to do the events out there, there's always plenty of people farming plinx/pene/shelter/jofast on my server.
What i would like to see would be some form of token exchange for lodestones. the drop rates are horrible and servers are full of bots farming them, having another way to get access to lodestones would make things alot less painful.
They need to fix core/lodestones because the prices are becoming rediculuos. Even if its something like you spend dungeon tokens to buy them would be huge
Once they put out the ascended Items into other aspects of the game (PvE, WvW) like they mentioned, it should balance a bit better. It will probably be in those huge january and february updates, when they speak of an addon scale. At least I hope they will.
Why, exactly, is there an incentive to be in the world as it is, and how is it tied to lodestones? It's already far more efficient to farm lodestones in dungeons and fractals. Making them drop more often in the world would only serve to increase traffic.
Bad enough there is some kind of diminishing return penalty for attempting to farm the same zone for too long that kicks in.
The problem with lodestones isn't that nobody farms them, the supply is way too low for something used in so many things. Try farming sparks in CS or something, for charged, you'll get maybe 1-2 in an hr. Increase the drop rate, a lot, to something a bit less than 400 rare mat drop rate, and you would see manageable prices. Right now getting a lodestone is like getting an exotic piece of armor.
Also it doesn't help that there's people out there with 9,000+g, that could buy every single lodestone on the market and still have money left over to control precursors.
Or make it so you don't need a million of them for basically every high end mystic forge synth
Lodestones should be a guaranteed reward from temple event chests.
Chests in general are pathetic. Any open world major chest event should be a guaranteed gold (in w/that gold has the already existing Korean low chance chance of being an epic)
your lucky if you get 1 an hour and the fact there are people controlling precursors is very true, they increased the drops and yes we saw a fall in prices for precursors but now they're in exactly the same place as they we're before the karka event because of people with alot of gold just buying them up when people were selling theirs cheaper.
Shiyo dear play nice
Lets see hear.. Every chest has a super low chance for an exotic. It's such a low chance that its Korean mmo low chance worthy. Everyone chest should be a guaranteed gold and that gold should have the same existing low chance to be an exotic.
Do you need me to break it down further for you?
It made no sense to me either because you have the worst English in the world. I agree with you now that you worded it a little better though.
was typing from my phone the first time, i don't always look over what i type
Legendary Imbued Shaman 40+. Jesus. fucking. tits.
Straight adding gold to chests would just cause inflation. Fixing drop rates and playing with the loot tables is a good start though.
