Karka gave me hope for the future of the game (in hindsight, kind of hilarious considering how pointless that area is). Praying for good things, but it's hard to be optimistic currently.

Though yeah, another thing that's been getting on my nerves lately is how this game still has no LFG system in it. Yes GW2LFG is nice, but come the hell on.

It needs a FFXI style LFG system or something like GW2LFG, no automated match making or dungeon finder. Fuck that shit.

I never played a game with an automated finder so I can't really comment on that, though I'd give anything for an LFG system kinda like XI/XIV's.

automated party finders sucked in Rift. Just copy what GW2LFG does.

Yeah, there's no reason to automate finding groups with a dungeon finder. Just give us basic things that let us LFG or LFM, such as FFXI's flag system or GW2LFG and the problem of finding a group is fixed. Having to interact with people, and actually needing to build a community and communicate with people is much healthier for a genre that strives on social interaction. I'm really shy and even I prefer having to actually talk to people to form/make a group over pressing a button and playing my 3DS/PSP.

I'm pretty sure accounts have not been turned into trial accounts, it's likely just something wrong with the login servers.

Ugh I've been crashing like a motherfucker this last month since like 2 patches ago. Finally reached the end of my support ticket, and they're out of things to suggest outside of reformatting windows. Went back to driver versions I used previously without issue (in fact I've tried almost every 300+ series version), reinstalled, repaired, turned everything I can think of off (including overclocks just to be safe), and even loaded a new windows profile. Nada, shit sucks man. I know it's not me.

Just ranting but if any of you bros has a suggestion, most of the crash log looks like this:

Its ridiculous to look at the whole thing. Few things here or there from press events/beta, then nothing all the way through February/March. Then pretty much daily entries, most of which are the above and with extremely low 'uptime' (aka it doesn't take long).

Game optimization has been getting worse as time goes on. I crash way too frequently also. And everyone I know games loads slower and slower every few patches

I haven't had any crash problems, but yeah the loading is getting very annoying.

I load instantly so I guess I don't have that problem.

Go to My Documents>Guild Wars 2 and delete (move/backup) local.dat and see if that helps you if youre on a snail drive. You'll have to redo keybinds/local graphic settings.

Thought public API was cool, already sick of every notable world event getting zerged the second it spawns now though, fuck. Gotta hit most of them up in the morning or it's impossible to low man them. Also having a character crisis. I absolutely love playing my mesmer in PvE but I'm not a fan of it in WvW, been enjoying my Thief for that but now I'm not sure what to do about gear. Building up laurels and commendations but no clue if I want to use them on my thief or mes. Fuck time gated gear progression.

Events are negative fun now ; ; I don't ever want to do any event after 1 PM anymore, whee infinite lag + 20 fps + things dying instantly, FFXI levels of boredom.

I also find guild missions incredibly boring, very easy, low skill based content...I'm not sure what they were thinking. If they didn't give ascended items a lot less people would do them, and if they didn't give 50s + 2 rares per event like 1% of the population would do them. They are raids, a carrot that people only do for loot, and not fun. Which makes no sense because that's the COMPLETE opposite of the rest of the game. Everything else in this game is all about fun, and doing whatever youy want to do, being as enjoyable as possible, and being equally rewarded with whatever you're doing and feel like doing. They're like doing voidwatch in FFXI, but much easier. The bosses can basically be duod, they have meh mechanics and die in like 1-2 mins. I thought they'd be actual hard bosses or something, not champions with mechanics(sometimes).

If guild missions are the future of this game, I DO NOT like the direction they are taking. They're taking lessons from every other MMO where they need boring shit content that is only done because it gives loot, and it gives special loot you can't get anywhere else so people are FORCED to do it. No one wants to be undergeared or feel inferior because their gear isn't the best. Anet really shouldn't be trying to shove gear grinds down our throat. I thought this games devs were AGAINST gear grinds?

Let me guess: you did bounties twice, maybe a trek, and didn't even try puzzles/rush/challenges?

We do our first puzzle this Sunday and I can't wait for it. So far, participation on guild missions is still high (40-50) and especially the rushes provide many hilarious moments. I'm also quite happy with easy mode. It takes us usually 60-90 min to be done with everything (bounty/trek/rush/challenge) and that's on an comfortable pace. Maybe it's the average age of 35 in our guild, but nobody ever complaint about it beeing too short/easy.

6 bounty targets, chicken rush, Quaggan defence challenge. Was just too many people in the guild for the bounties/challenge to be anything but faceroll but... can't blame the content for that. Some of the bounty targets seem like fun fights, the only one we really got any time with before too many people arrived was just a Kholer rip off so meh. The challenge we got was a joke, super easy but I imagine you can be pushed for time with too few members. I loved the rush personally. Hopefully gonna do puzzle next week, guild we ran with just got the merits to unlock it lastnight.
