Only thing I can think of that prevents that, is maybe other hunters don't know exactly what the bros have done but just a general idea. I don't know if I even buy that however, because you'd think the network of hunters, people would find out through someone, etc. It'd be a huge plot hole if hunters knew of the Winchesters friends (as mentioned last night) but not what they do. But then again, you never hear Sam or Dean talk about other hunters' cases except for when they are talking along the lines of "oh well we met him at so and so place, working on the whatever case" (also mentioned last night.)

Only other thing I can think of stopping the respect is how many times they actually died. I guess the other hunters don't know, but you hear on occasion a witty comment about it from one of the supernatural creatures/beings. So I guess a moot point.

This weeks episode was the weakest of the whole season, was meh. Needs more crowley and/or Cas.

Killing Eve
Killing a dragon
Wrangling with the King of Hell
Having Death eat at a diner with them
Fucking with three horsemen
Killing Angels
Stopping the apocalypse, twice
Sending Lucifer back to hell
Going forward and backwards in time
Killing the head Leviathan
Getting out of Purgatory
Going to hell, and coming back

That people would just stop fucking with the Winchesters. Or at least would be an opening line of theirs, "I basically fucked the Devil, don't fuck with me." Boys need some respect.

Metatron is an arcangel. Naomi is this angel, yet does not fit the version of the Naomi in The Bible.

I miss bobby ._., he was one of the characters that knew when to make a funny joke. BALLS! I was so hopeing he would come back alive and not go to heaven but I knew some shit like that would never happen in supernatural (unlike in other series).

Something tells me while Sam will close the gates of hell, Dean will close the gates of Heaven. Freedom for mankind.

I don't think they mean it like that, in a no one in or out type of thing. More so, demons can never walk the earth again and are stuck in hell, and angels the same in heaven, can't leave it ever.

I don't recall them ever saying it would affect humans, only that angels and demons would be locked away.

I'm like 90% positive that they mentioned no more people had to go to hell once the gates were closed...now you have me second guessing myself though.
