I'm the same way, there's so many golden episodes I can't pick a single favorite like my friend. All of the Loki based episodes like Dean dying a bazillions times and "LUUUUCY IM HOOOMMMEEE", Swan Song, the fan convention, plus numerous others... Ugh too many to pick.
I'm partial to:
Season 1: Devil's Trap (not the Impala!)
Season 2: In my time of dying (Dean dying)
Season 3: Mystery Spot (Dean dying a lot)
Season 4: On the head of a pin (Dean torturing Alastair)
Season 5: Swan Song (if only for the Impala montage)
the one that makes me smile thinking back on it, believe it or not, is from season 6 with the alien sightings in a town, Dean nuking a fairy in the microwave, and being hauled off to jail in the cop car.
they may try to hard in making Dean look to cool, but comeon Jefferson Starships heh. The whole Eve ordeal was just rushed way to fast.
Honorable mentions go to the episodes where Death "horsemen" is in them, he always raises the bar. Like when he was just sitting in a dinner eating a phillie cheese steak talking to Dean about how hes eventually going to reap God.
Indeed, all the Death episodes and Tessa episodes are amazing
ffffffffffffffff, my god how I've missed episodes like tonight's.Spoiler: show
Enjoyable episode tonight, nice to see Cas back, and Crowly<sp> is entertaining as always.

I kinda was wondering what the hell happened with that scene, was like o.o wtf.
Yea i'm a wondering who that was talking to Cas and what they plan to do. I was thinking it was God who saved him again when the episode started but I guess it wasn't. since it wasn't God I don't see how they would of had the power to pull Cas out of purgatory, since it was such a pain to open it in the first place?
Wasn't the rule that only humans can escape through the exit gate? Isn't Cas as we know him just an angel sitting inside a human shell? How is that any different than the vampire that got out inside of Dean? I feel like Cas could have just walked out if he knew where the exit gate was.
Cas in Jimmy's body could pass through, but I think Cas himself, as in his angel form, wouldn't be able to. The reason Benny was able to pass through would have been because he was born a human and turned into a vampire, as he stated. So the doorway might only work for those that were born/are human, is my guess.

Can't listen to Kevin's mom without closing my eyes and seeing all the characters she's done Voice Overs for, plus she has gotten old since Friends.
Just started watching this week's ep, saw Amanda Tapping in the credits... She's the new baddie, yes?
I couldn't sit through more than one ep of her new show after sg-1...

Cas bluffing Crowley was just great. Glad to have him back
Lol'd at Crowley's "its all very west side story" before Cas went SSJ.
"so Kevin, have you read any good tablets lately" love episodes like this, so fuckin happy Cas is back
sheesh, finally got all caught up. this season has been impressive so far i think. and yeah the chronicles episode was shitty but w/e. after the cesspools of season 6/7, one shitty one out of a few actual good episodes won't hurt.
Not an archangel, but any angel of Cas's rank or higher at full power fully manifesting thier energy would wreck any demons day 1-on-1 (even the King of Hell). Problem is Cas isn't even at half-power and hasn't been for a long time and probably could only maintain that energy output for a min or two maybe & certainly not at the level needed to snuff Crowley out, hence the bluff.
Crowley just decided not to chance it since he'd be betting with his life in the slight chance Cas wasn't bluffing about being at full power.
