WTS: D&D 3.5/3.0 books, M:tG cards, comic books

So, our car decided it wanted to die about a week before a 3k road trip vacation that's been planned for about a year. While we could barely eek by with what we'd still have after repairs, the family and I need some cash relatively quickly. Before I throw things on eBay, I thought I'd turn here. Pictures of anything available upon request.

I started playing in Beta/Unlimited, but stopped around 1998~ or so. Most of these are from revised or 4th edition, or the original expansion set. I am hoping to sell this as a lot; ebay fees would kill me to list these individually, but all of them will sell there for $1.00, at a minimum, and some for quite a bit more. There are 298 rares or old, high-valued uncommons. Most are in slightly played condition, but no obvious damage to them; the Desert Nomads, Shapeshifter, and Su-Chi are the exceptions, with obvious wear around the black edges. I'd be happy with $300, but am open to offers.

I collected these in the late 80s/early 90s; my wife added a few in the late 90s. There's nothing exceptional here, though a few get into the $50-200 range at most comic sites I've checked. The listed value, in their condition, is about $550; I'd be happy with $400. I'm willing to sell individually on these, though again I would prefer to sell the lot. Price is negotiable, especially if buying the cheap ones in bulk. Most of those with relatively few editions were crossovers with major events (Infinity series, X-Men crossovers, etc...), and most of the rest are X-Men, Wolverine, or Fantastic Four from around 1991-1995.

Edit: Sold a lot of the comics, some of the D&D books. Price on M:tG changed substantially; my estimations were way off from when I boxed 'em.

A few years back I tried to list D&D 3.5 books here too but no one bit. I put em on half.com and got rid of my entire collection in about a month. It was something like 40 books. Just thought I'd letcha know ^^ good luck!

out of curiosity, are 3.5 books really still commanding decent prices? my friends and i have a pretty substantial collection, but we stopped playing years ago for various reasons. i saw they recently reprinted the 3.5 core books, seems like they're still in demand... was 4E really that bad? lol.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I seriously doubt you'd get $600 for that lot. The cards below would be the main ones worth anything, everything else isn't really worth the time to list. At best I could see $300 maybe being offered as anything that isn't commonly played in a format or isn't hard to find is worth crap these days.

I'd recommend keeping everything else unless you're completely getting out of Magic. Alternately, a more profitable idea would be to sell the above cards as singles then put everything else (including commons and lands) in a 5000 count box and sell it on Craigslist for $200-300. If you decide to do this, make sure you go through the cards you're putting in as some of the old commons are worth a decent amount now (Dark Rituals, Brainstorms, etc).

I appreciate the heads up. I actually got out of M:tG long, long ago; this is pretty much everything that I still have. I honestly don't know much about the game any more. Thanks for the candid advice.

Some of them sell really, really well, especially those that came out near the end of 3.5, where the market wasn't filled for 8~ years. They are going to reprint the 3.5 Core, but they still sell for ~20-30 on Amazon. Others, especially 3.0 stuff, doesn't sell so well. And yeah, 4E was really that bad: D&D is no longer the #1 selling P&P RPG. Pathfinder overtook it last year. Yeah, it's a D&D clone/port, but it's not the D&D name. First time that's happened in decades.
