An untold chapter in the Mass Effect saga, following the early career of Alliance Marine, James Vega, as he leads a squad of elite special forces into battle against a mysterious alien threat known as The Collectors. Stationed at a colony in a remote star system, Vega and his troops must protect the inhabitants from an invasion of the deadly insectoid warriors determined to collect the population for unknown purposes. Soon after the attack, Vega's commanding officer falls in battle, forcing the young officer to embrace the responsibility of leadership for the colony's survival. So this is about James Vega fighting Collectors? I mean, I liked the Collectors but seriously who gives a shit about wanting to watch either of those things in anime?

The Collectors seem like the worst idea out of the main villains in all 3 games to base this off of imo. Honestly if they wanted this to be successful just basing it off stuff like ME's DLC "Bring Down the Sky" would be much better for a movie. You have hostages, lots of traversing, in a movie setting you have a lot of filler time for character development to take place(since the movie won't have all the backstory preceding it if based on something like this).

God damn it. They could have made an awesome CGI/Live Action (you can't really say that the CGI Mass Effect 3 trailers weren't awesome) Mass Effect movie, but instead they're making an animated one about JAMES FUCKING VEGA? why

They could have made this movie about Garrus being Archangel before the events of ME2 occurred and everyone would have creamed themselves. Or Garrus/Wrex doing anything really.
