At the same time, the plot dictates that Kirito only has what? A week to save Asuna? Would you rather he go in overpowered or somehow become uber top-level in less then a week in a pretty fresh and new game?
IE: Plot is gonna plot
Kirito is being really stupid about hiding his bugged/hacked account.
First off he should have at least changed the name slightly so that Evil-kun wouldn't be able to spot that he entered the game from the other side of the planet if he felt like it, then he shouldn't have blatantly abused his hacked skill levels and at least tried to make it look like he was a really lucky newbie so that the guys wont instantly be crying to the GMs.

I have to admit that the storyline is borderline jumping the shark at the moment but I'm still compelled to keep watching for some reason.

You people were warned the plot went derp!
Just kinda wondering why her dad didn't think of checking the servers for Asuna / the other 299 people himself. Then again he's probably not that perceptive if he couldn't see that his own daughter has loathed the jackass since forever.
in sao he used katakana and in alo he used kanji I believe. or it was vice versa I don't remember. anime just went with English. either way, it I'd definitely better just to not think about it.
I just considered it him going, "Fuck you!" to the guy in using his name. Granted, were I in this situation, I'd probably run to the police/media instead of trying to beat him in the game.
question about the new chick from the latest ep

This is the same world that allows a game using the same customer electronic technology that imprisoned 10,000 in a single game to go ahead and create another game that used the same source code as the aforementioned game, not accounting for the whole crazier student of crazy creator.
