I was actually glad A-1 changes some of the shit from the original material, the pretend murder arc would've been so much more unbearable if they threw in the conversation with Heathcliff in there, and god knows the first raid would've been so goddamn boring if they threw in the sword selling politics

still pretty shitty either way, but at least they tried to salvage it

Tip for anime fans with gambling addiction: Never ever make a bet with anyone that Sword Art Online cannot get any dumber. It will always prove you wrong. I wouldn't make such a bet myself anyway, but just saying, if you plan to, don't. It's amazing how moronic the writing has gotten. the way scenes occur, the way one thing leads to another, it's all sketchy at best, and completely retarded at worst. Today's episode is something I would simply classify under "at worst", especially with Suguha scenes that are obviously designed as titillation material for the otaku fanbase.

To be fair, it was implied very heavily that he was completely obsessive about the game during Beta testing. She could be referring to SAO before it became a game of death.
