Latest episode question: How did he suddenly get dual wield back? o_O
Because it's convenient as a plot device?
Given the directions the story has taken, that makes sense
He's had it the entire time. He's had all his skills. The only thing he dropped was his gear.
Skills the minute he started:

The first episode he entered the world, he was talking about how all his skills and stuff carried over to the new game >.>
Also... very inetresting episode... great action and great ecchi ~! (´¬`)
looking forward to the stuff fanarts will be drawing soon... oh very soon...
That's the thing though, it's ????'d, I took that as it didn't work in ALFheim, like how all his gear was ????'d. Unless like his gear, he doesn't use to stand out and be targeted by the GMs?
Edit: Yeah, at the 14 minute mark of episode 16, he says his Dual Wielding was gone =/
Yeah, They really stepped up their animation(in the wrong place).

So glad I dropped this.
The action scene was god tier.
The show's still fine.
Yes the fanservice is a smidge more than the first half, and imouto shit is always dumb and has to gtfo the industry, but the rest is still a quality tier respectable in any decade of anime.
(Though, re: fanservice, remember SAO development was guided by the spergy madman, no magic, sword fightan', dream tower ideal. SRSBSNS.
ALO was likely a far more traditionally developed and targeted game. Therefore, tittays.)
Besides the over the top villain of the season, the only other issue is the pace/timing of the plot, and even then, it's not bad, it's just not perfect, because the conclusion arrives... hmm, let's say like an exponential curve.
As for the dual wield
Spoiler: show
Spoiler: That illusion magic will never ever be mentioned again for the rest of the story, ever
I personally don't like it. Would be okay if there was some point where he could trained up his magic skills off-screen but when did that happen?
I mean, the game is confirmed to have actually required skill levels to use certain abilities and such. No way I'll believe that was a basic level illusion spell.
When did he grind up the levels? C'mon.
