    Finally caught up on this. First arc was great, second one is meh. But I'm sticking to it since this is the first time in god only knows how long I've watched a show (anime and non) where we don't have to wait 4345083459 episodes for the two main characters to kiss (or at all...fuck you Fullmetal Panic). I really really like the speed of the show where they don't drag shit out, just wish they didn't go all fanservice crazy for the second arc.

    Fuck you. FMP is the shit and the rest needs to be animated because the rest of the story is just fkn awesome.

    Ya that doesn't help the matter. Takes wayyyyyyy too fucking long. At this point, there's nothing that they could do that would make me happy with how slow it went. This is obviously not even close to being the only show that's done this, and it's a huge pet peeve of mine. (and again, this goes for both anime and non)

    So ya, SAO has a lot of faults, but I am fully enjoying the speed of everything.

    Heck, I think my peeve isn't even limited to romance. I can't stand watching shows like DBZ where it takes ten episodes for two things to happen.

    Well, in FMP it actually kind of makes sense.
    Spoiler: show
    Souske finally figures out who he loves(I mean, he is thick headed and does lack emotional stability. His character actually develops a ton throughout the series). The latter half is just him trying to find Chidori after w/e the fuck happens to her with the other whispered taking her over. So in that sense it does make sense as to why it took so long. It's not like other series where they're in love from the start and it's no where near as bad as Pastel the manga. THAT shit is just stupid.

    It only makes sense because the author designed it that way so they could drag it out as so many authors do. It's a standard model, trying to justify it is just silly. Lots of people like the suspense or getting hooked on waiting for the end, I am not one of those people. Having it "make sense" isn't going to lessen my rage after waiting all that time for nothing.

    None of the spoilers have anything to do with what's currently animated. And I spoilered everything for a reason. We were just drawing differences. But I do agree with Ksandra to a point. SAO's pacing with everything is pretty decent. I've actually enjoyed MOST of the 2nd part of the series.

    The reason Fumoffu had no progress was because everything that happened in Fumofu actually happened during season 1 in between the original 24 or 26 episodes.

    In-show timeline has zero to do with the time I'm sitting on my ass watching it. You may not have had a problem with it, but trying to justify something I don't enjoy is just bizarre. I don't understand what's so hard to get about it.

    If I said I hate sad endings (hypothetical, I really like both), you could spend hours explaining to me why Romeo and Juliet ended the way it did, that won't change the fact I hated sad endings and wouldn't like the ending to the play.
