Well, you don't have to be an anime enthusiast to tell how much money they made from the first season of this.

Unreal budget. Looked like a film at times. Not even comparable to the animation from S1.

I'd say just continue this thread. The first season covered volumes 1-4 with some 8 sprinkled in there, although some content cut out from alo arc. This second season starts right at the beginning of volume 5, direct continuation. It's supposed to be a 2 cour run so we should get 24-26 episodes. Will probably cover phantom bullet and mother's rosario. The second half will be airing at the same time as log horizon's second season lol.

The first episode was mostly talking. Some crappy cgi. A lot of stills. And a decent amount of reused scenes from season 1. However that's good because that means they spent very little budget on this episode with almost zero action and saved it for the other episodes. Thanks to the fame of the first season they're able to get away with doing that. If they adapt this phantom bullet arc properly, it'll be great. Next episode will be the continuation of the fight showed at the end of this episode. This battle should tell us what we should expect from the entire arc in terms of good or bad animation.

His character he creates in the game gets a rare bug that turns him into a girl. The new VRMMO shit can tell if you're male or female and make that the base of your character but it's something like a 1% chance it'll turn you female instead.

Not a bug; the game has randomly rolled character[body] builds (which are still in the end minor modifications off your actual body). When transferring accounts the roll is biased, mostly by your playtime, which as a sao victim he has a shit ton of. As such he ended up with the usually incredibly rare feminine looking male build. He's still a male in game. Basically a trap.

The subs are available on crunchyroll, if you want to go legal. If you mean the dub, I'd imagine you'll have to wait at minimum half a year for season 2 to finish airing in Japan first.

That makes sense, considering when he first got out of bed in the previous SAO, he had long black hair... so the game made him out to look that same way when he went back to the online gaming world.

Daisuki has a stream on their site that's live now, and a 2 part youtube upload. (Legit, Daisuki is pmuch an anime Hulu, it's owned by the broadcasters)
