The Iraqi death count in the past 2 wars with the Americans is hovering around one million dead. That number is higher than the Rwanda body count. Sure it's not Auschwitz, but it's not that far off.
2 wars (One of them completely legit, the other arguably legit) equals one death camp, albeit the largest. Of six major death camps, with unknown numbers of smaller camps and non-camp exterminations. See what I mean about hyperbole? Assuming similar casualty rate, we'd need to fight another 4 wars to match the death camps alone, let alone the other civilian casualties inflicted by the Nazis. Seriously, the Nazis did this shit on such an unimaginable scale and with such ruthless efficiency, the comparison is just stupid.
Well, I guess as long as we're not outdoing the Nazi's then we're doing alright
I'd say as long as we're not even in the same league as the Nazis, we're doing all right.
Then I think you're missing the point
It doesn't count until you hit the 3 million mark.
I truly enjoy when someone claims Israel is a terrorist nation, but supports US foreign policy, or vice versa, supports Israel but denounces the US.
You mean like the Iranian populace
Now now, US soldiers are just international corporate employees with guns.
Maybe. Dunno. Not sure how that's relevant to my point (which I can only assume is where your comment is directed, since my post is sandwiched by yours) either way, though. The facebook post I was referring to mentioned only Iraqi citizens, and referred to the deaths of civilians as genocide (two distinct things, which can overlap but are definitely not the same). I was pointing out that the comparison to the Nazis is not honest, helpful, or appropriate, even if the (extremely arguable) case can be made that it is genocide.
Edit: If your comment was directed more generally, as an attempt to rerail the thread... carry on.
What did you guys do to my thread :<
I'm sure you're one of the people that don't think there has a genocide in Rwanda, Darfur, and Cambodia (just to name a few since the Holocaust). Just because the Nazi's did it best doesn't mean that it isn't a genocide until the death toll reaches those numbers, or because it isn't carried out in such a systematic way.
made it mind-numbingly fucking retarded
'America foreign policy is nazi genocide'
do these people even know what genocide is
do you know how easy it would be for us if we wanted to genocide a people
not stay in their nation for years and years trying to convince them to stop killing each other and building fucking schools
