Finally realized why my Spotify streaming has been cutting out on 4G this week at school. It seems I've been throttled on my unlimited data plan for the month having used 6707.53 MB. When I say throttled I mean speedtest won't even hit 1MB down, it gets that bad. I blame streaming Watchespn on the weekends at work lol.

Good news is the billing cycle ends tonight.

ClassicMap is a free app that appears to pull its maps from Google. No turn by turn, so it's basically iOS5 maps.

Got the iPad mini today... this form factor is great. I don't think I'll go back to the big ipads anymore unless they make it around the weight of the mini.

I thought the screen might be terrible but turns out it's fine. The phone apps do get pixelated in 2x mode (looks like they disabled RetinaPad functionality for non-retina iPads) though.

I don't have a problem with it. The fonts do get a bit small sometimes but it's fine if I turn to landscape.

Thought the human eye cant even take advantage of the retina screen?

I sure think with the exception of playing 1080p movies or viewing 20mp images, there is little to no use of the retina screen. I suppose it's an advantage for websites as well, considering how some are designed.

It's mainly for my mum though. I'm confident that she does not care or can tell the difference. In fact, some videos she watches on her iPad 1 stretches and as a result becomes blurry. God knows what she will complain of if it's a retina lol.

In fact, scrap that. I'm going to see if I can pick up the old gen iPad 3, rather than the iPad "4".

The naming conventions are a ballache though...

So at the moment the newest model doesn't come with a none wifi/celluar version, bumping up the price expodentially.

Anyways, question. As the retina screen is esentially some super HD screen, how do websites actually look in it? Do you need to zoom in often, or would the browser auto adjust to best fit/best viewing? Just curious. Or is it a case of manually adjusting the font until I get a happy medium?

Theres 3 reason why they released an Ipad4

1) Surface coming out
2) The Lightning connector (couldve wait tbh)
3) The Retina gave problems with some games aka Infinity Blade II that never came out. So with the new processor they are hoping to stop that flickering

So pretty simple if you wanna get a full size Ipad get the 4 But if retailler sells the 3 at rebate and you dont care bout gaming, get the 3 before the stock hits 0

Was just at bestbuy near me because I wanted to show my brother the mini.

They had none in stock, but that didnt stop a employee from trying to sell me a ipad 3 at full price claiming it was the.newest one.

Yeah, I bought my iPad mini at Best Buy this year. It wasn't a good experience lol, they kept asking me if I want to buy their protection plans, accessories, etc, and many "are you sure?". I think I answered no like 15 times...

Problem is that a normal customer won't know cuz the only visual difference is the connector
