To be honest I'm the most excited about FaceTime over cellular. One of the big "wow" factors I've always wanted in a communication device has been live on the spot anywhere video chat. I was happy when the iPhone 4 came out and had this, but it was a terrible disappointment since you had to be on a wireless network. It will be nice to actually be able to use this.

I'm hoping Siri continues to get improved as well.

Ive had one of my iphone's jailbroken in the past but experienced nothing but issues with it. The phone was much more sluggish than when it wasnt jailbroken.

Jailbreaking the phone doesn't cause your phone to be sluggish. All it does is give you superuser. Always bewildered as to why so many people perceive it to be detrimental to the phone.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited for the phone. LTE itself is a huge reason for me to be psyched...only thing I'm not looking forward to is the wait for an exploit to pop up for the phone to be jail broken...

The iphone 4 being jailbroken was really quick. Especially since they found a browser-based exploit. That was the shit. I jailbroke my fucking phone taking a shit during a test.


Give jailbreaking another try. Sometimes its a version/jailbreak issue that just messes up. If it seems super sluggish for some reason, try reformatting it and doing it again. Once you peruse Cydia you'll never look back. Ever.

Oh yeah, you can SSH into your phone and access its data wirelessly. Also add data. Nothin beats a wireless flash drive.

My order is still "Processing" on the Apple website, and the charge on my card is also still "Processing" even though I pre-ordered 5 minutes after going live. Is this expected or should the charge on my card be completed by now?

Apparently you can directly look up your UPS shipment (info taken from Macrumors):

- Find your confirmation email from apple when you placed your order
- Look at the "BILL TO" section of that email
- Find the first phone number listed in the BILL TO section of your email
- That is your REF number (it may be a cell number, home phone, etc... It's from your AppleID profile)

- Go to UPS.com
- click "Tracking" in the top menu bar
- click "track by reference number" below the standard tracking text box
- enter your phone number from above as your reference number

Yo for those of you guys getting the phones... they obviously come with the new earpods which are absolutely awesome. Friend at work lemme try on a pair that they bought and 15 minutes later I'm paying for a pair at the Apple Store.

Just had to tell you, they are GOOD for 30 dollar headphones.

On topic: Got a client that is buying 2,500 iP5s to hand out at their office... The desk is gonna be busy this Friday. -_-;
