tbh, this made me laugh: http://www.macrumors.com/2012/09/20/...railway-clock/
Pretty clear Apple stole the design, so they probably should pay up ;o
This world omg everyone wanna lawsuit anyone for almost anything
http://9to5mac.com/2012/09/20/google...le-to-approve/
Hope it's a universal app and it gets approved soon...
Apple really is not allowed to say anything is silly about a patent tho so if they get sued because their clock is round and white it be somewhat fitting for the patent of "wedge" and "Rounded edges"
Can someone tell me what so bad bout the map app....
I don't have any problems with it
It's missing a lot of businesses that Google does list. Like, I needed to get my oil changed the other day. I knew where a place was, but didn't know its name, hours, or phone number. Google maps let me zoom in to where it was and had all that listed. It is also missing a lot of public transportation info. That's the main reason why my friends in the city are griping. It also doesn't have nearly as much street view.
For all the complaining, though, they're just features that are waiting to be filled in. I'd imagine in the coming year we won't be able to tell the difference between the two.
Not that I'm defending apple. But how often do people use the 3D maps? Are they really missing that much information (in big cities) that its noticeable? Its not really applicable to me since I live in already detailed area (south florida)
No one cares about the 3D. It's just missing basic functionality that most people use the maps app for (like looking for places) and outdated info.
I could be wrong but I think google maps works in the browser? can sorta get turn by turn there if they are really as bad as you say(tell it to share your location might work? )
Yeah, you can use the browser version.
Google maps a comin'

I never imagined them to be so outdated, I used it today to look at my home address (granted it is in the middle of nowhere) and the image it shows is missing my pool in the backyard and a huge apartment complex next door both of which were built in 1995 lol. so apparently residential improvements are missing, but would that mean roads and shit are missing too?
I can't even believe that maps could be 17 years old lol
Thankfully the mobile safari app is a thing?

Updated my ipad and just noticed spoiler tags in bg no longer opens a new page. They actually work as they're suppose to.
Got mine too. It's very noticeably lighter than my iPhone 4, and I love LTE omg.... it's like wifi everywhere.
