Got to love that they were flying flags of OSAMA BIN FUCKING LADEN. Stay classy Muslims, stay classy.

so what? who do you want them to fly the flag of the Emperor Hirohito? The point was to troll Americans and judging from your response Mission Accomplish.
You do realize the drug warlords that were once under Bin Laden's hand are the same folks running the show now, right? The very same drug warlords we still support and use, which produce these happy individuals that are breaking headlines everywhere, demonstrating how perfectly normal Muslims react to a poorly made hate film designed to kill more innocents to prove "a point" (our God is better than your God).
Thought some people might be interested in this video. Though it might not have quite enough of one's own opinion in it to make it in this section.
After carefully reading every post in this thread, I can't help but wonder what everyone's background/life experiences is/have been.
I don't mean to use the RL card or anything like that, but some people in here who think this filmmaker has done nothing wrong (and note I say "wrong", and not "illegal") either probably live in a bubble, or are in their teens.
The hatred for Islam spewed in here probably comes from the same group, and maybe some more people in the military with ME tours. Sure, some portion of Muslim dudes hate the US and what it represents as well, and surely have a different, more violent way of showing it, but this whole hate thing will only make things worse. For both sides.
Also, while we're mentioning non-illegal things that deal with illegal things, didn't 50 Cent teach how to make crack in his movie? Don't many rappers talk about smoking/dealing/killing, etc.? I haven't heard every rap song ever, so I can't say if a song actually gives you the step-by-step on how to do any of this (10 crack commandments is more of a guideline, IMO), but the 50 cent movie def. teaches one how to make crack. As long as we're talking "artistic expression", how is that pedo book different from this movie? They should either be both in, or both out.
An hour in they're talking about women's rights. She says that they're fighting for womens rights when recently women were arrested for driving. Thing is there's a lot that has happened in the past 2 years that would have been more interesting to see what they would have said in more recent times than from 2 years ago.
Please explain what is "wrong" with making a youtube video making fun of ANY religion. I'm sorry that I do not think that we should have to limit ourselves based on what people defending the Muslim side are saying they're the minority. In that debate she said that 7% are, I guess disenfranchised, which is 105,000,000 Muslims, and a minority of that are extremist. Problem is she didn't specify what percent were extremist. Even if it's just half that's 50,000,000 extremist. I live far out of a bubble and I'm 27 years old. I'm honestly just tired of Muslims ALLOWING their religion to be hi-jacked. If Christians were doing the same thing, I would be bad mouthing them. Every religion has had it's "dark age". But Muslims "dark age" has lasted for thousands of years.
Until the majority stand up and disavow these extremist then it doesn't matter. It's even asked in the video. The hatred for Islam spewed in here probably comes from the same group, and maybe some more people in the military with ME tours. Sure, some portion of Muslim dudes hate the US and what it represents as well, and surely have a different, more violent way of showing it, but this whole hate thing will only make things worse. IMO, it's just wrong to disrespect other people's religious beliefs, whether you agree with them or not. It's not about limiting yourself, but what's funny to you, may not be funny to them, that's all I've been saying; it boils down to respect. I think farting near family members is hilarious, but they certainly don't enjoy it. The respectful thing to do is to not fart in their presence, regardless of how I feel about it. Sure, nobody is going to get killed over farting in a family environment (at least I don't think), but if I fart near my mother, I damn well know a swift backhand will hit me, no matter what. It may seem like an unrelated, or even childish comparison, but in principle, it's the same idea. I agree these dudes going balls out crazy over this "movie" need to relax and get over themselves, but while they don't, the best option would be to respect their religion and its customs (which in itself seems unfathomable to ask for on BG). The satirical equivalent of shock therapy is not going to work.
Claiming whatever percentage of followers of Islam who disrespect the American way of thinking/living and other religious beliefs does not create an excuse to act the same way towards them. Two wrongs do not make a right, and shit's bound to only get worse from here on out.
lol
I'm starting a new religion. God spoke to me last night. I'm inscribing his words on gold tablets as I type this. He said that tom cruise is a false prophet and everything depicting his likeness must immediately be destroyed. Any intent to defy gods will will be met with justified and holy retaliation.
Respect my religion.
Disrespect for another's religion is just that; disrespect. Respect is never automatic, it is earned.
Failure to give respect can carry with it a whole set of consequences, but they are usually not criminal consequences like people seem to be asserting for this filmmaker.
10 virgins for every copy of mission impossible 3 destroyed. Only get magical panties for takeing out the cruise himself.
"I don't mean to play the RL card, but I'm totally playing it. Also, everyone that disagrees with me is immature. I laugh at farts."
Glad to see being islamophobic is actually being encouraged in this thread.
1. Blow some shit up.
2. Claim I was offended by some shitty movie. Instant sympathizers.
3. ???
4. Profit.
lol
its goddamn hilarious you think that's what the supreme court ruled.
It's a lot more simple than that.
It's like you have the basic idea of it and in your own plow world you make up the reasoning behind it.
FYI the new interpretation of the yelling fire in a crowed theatre had nothing to do with actually yelling fire in a theatre.
