I saw an offensive movie yesterday, am i now justified to murder the neighbors and set fire to their homes? Then blame the filmmaker for my actions?

Fuck sake, whoever said action was justified? Now that I'm seeing more of this reaction I would agree that it's entirely uncalled for whether expected or not. They need to stop reacting like children.

The filmmaker still shoulders a measure of responsibility.

^ Pretty much that. You can be inflammatory as long as you aren't using guns and violence to do it. Feelings are not protected by law. Because a group is so childish that they respond with violence to negative depictions of their made up prophets does not make it your fault at all.
