If what you are saying is that this is similar to parents blaming violence on video game companies, then fine, I'm wrong.

You people do understand that free speech is a western world construct right? You understand this?
Again, Islamic Dark Ages.
It's not difficult to argue that overreacting to lulzy movies made half way around the globe is maladaptive for their society and ultimately harmful for the people that do it.
They should preface every new edition of the coran with a transcript of this:

Banned, I think.
The film maker has at least inadventent blame for pushing out such a film. He is responsible in a sense that he is just as stupid as a person who throws rocks at a bear causing it to maul someone. If you expect everyone, especially people who live in those conditions, to act rationally all the time I think you would be a fool.
Things you say and do have consequences even if they are allowed.
It's okay Kuro I understood your stance. Nuance doesn't exist on this board is all.
A World of Tanks player was amidst the victims.
Click on the link to find out how the blames lies on Obama. They like going full retard on the WoT forums.
lol why is BG like this? I'm trying to make you understand how they have a different value system than yours. You have fucktards like Aiden up there going "well if neo-nazis blah blah blah" and drawing parallels between different groups of people with different value systems.
Your value system says it's ok to make a movie about so and so, and their value system says it's ok to burn shit to the ground in response to said film.
Frankly, I don't get all the shock and outrage on either side.
Mission accomplished.
I'd venture to guess that the outrage on the Western construct side stems from the other side's values leading to murders and arson, which seems sightly harder to brush off as an objective cultural idiosyncracy.
Moblan forbid our rednecks run with this and start firebombing mosques in retaliation over this crap, if they haven't already.
You don't get it, Callisto, murder is in their culture! Nothing to see here, move along. It's a Cairo/Tripoli thing.
hey, when in Rome!
I fail to understand why this is such a difficult concept to grasp. Mostly everyone here seems to agree that Muslims will go apeshit over shit generally regarded as trivial, and that they need to get over themselves/mellow out/grow up/etc. Ok, fair enough, but this movie is not really doing anything to help them accomplish this.
I don't think anyone on these forums actually keeps from doing something that may or may not offend Muslims, but holy shit, it all goes down at a local level. When you purposely do something as inflammatory as this "movie", which you know full well is going to stir up some shit, and say "fuck it", and do it anyway, this should mean something. American law does not apply to the whole world, but of course, in this day and age, it's impossible to keep boundaries on anything thanks to the internet, so while many may think that this dude who won't even use his real name is some sort of free speech advocate, let's not forget his intentions. I don't see how or why this couldn't be classified as "inciting violence" or something, which is perfectly punishable by law. He's not to be blamed for the violence (which is never justifiable), of course, just for stirring it.
Too much talk of rights and freedoms, but no talk of responsibilities up in hurr. And I realize the second paragraph isn't great, but it all makes sense in my head.
