No one is saying it isn't expected of muslims to act like crazy retards, we do expect it.

We are just saying muslims are worthless, crazy retards who burn shit to the ground because their fake prophet who raped kids had his image drawn by an infidel (this is all it takes, doesn't have to be defamatory)

The hate towards the West is more about keeping the poor Muslims uneducated, than protecting their prophet.

If freedom requires responsibility then it's not really freedom!

Did you just take your first freshman level sociology class or something?

Nobody cares what their value system says. Their values are wrong.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I don't think anyone on these forums actually keeps from doing something that may or may not offend Muslims, but holy shit, it all goes down at a local level. When you purposely do something as inflammatory as this "movie", which you know full well is going to stir up some shit, and say "fuck it", and do it anyway, this should mean something. American law does not apply to the whole world, but of course, in this day and age, it's impossible to keep boundaries on anything thanks to the internet, so while many may think that this dude who won't even use his real name is some sort of free speech advocate, let's not forget his intentions. I don't see how or why this couldn't be classified as "inciting violence" or something, which is perfectly punishable by law. He's not to be blamed for the violence (which is never justifiable), of course, just for stirring it.
Look, we get it: her skirt was too short.

    We just don't agree.

I understood Kuros stance but the point is that the people who are inciting and participating in the violence didn't need something half as potent as this to get them in the streets burning shit to the ground.

The video was intentionally design to troll and like good religious fanatics they took the bait hook, line and sinker but what's important to note is that regardless of intentional or completely accidental it doesn't take much to goad people to violence who already have underlying issues that predispose them to violence.

When you're unemployed, your nation has been under the heel of dictator that promoted paranoia and have nothing going for you it's easy to fall into zealotry such as this but lets not pretend that far less could not set off the powderkeg that is radical Islam.

Pretty much this. As a society I think we're kind of over the 1990s fascination with relativism. Their value system is demonstrably inferior and results in a lower amount of happiness per capita than ours and a higher amount of violent conflict. Their system is more incorrect than ours.

The west is willing and able to accept Islam alongside the other religious belief systems and the militant Islamists are willing to accept your abject servitude or your life forfeit.

I wonder where the problem is here.

You guys do realize that intentionally inciting a riot is not protected speech in America right?
Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444 (1969), was a landmark United States Supreme Court case based on the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The Court held that government cannot punish inflammatory speech unless that speech is directed to inciting, and is likely to incite, imminent lawless action. Specifically, it struck down Ohio's criminal syndicalism statute, because that statute broadly prohibited the mere advocacy of violence. In the process, Whitney v. California, 274 U.S. 357 (1927) was explicitly overruled, and doubt was cast on Schenck v. United States, 249 U.S. 47 (1919), Abrams v. United States, 250 U.S. 616 (1919), and Dennis v. United States, 341 U.S. 494 (1951).
Now, they'd have to prove that this film is intended to incite a riot and it's not just an example of freedom of expression, but given this guy's backstory it may not be that hard to do. I don't know how or if this law applies, however, given that the rioting that resulted did not occur on US soil.

Still too difficult to prove it even if there was rioting in America. They'll probably nail him on something unrelated to the film's content, like lying to the actors about what they were involved in, or lying to the cops about who made the film or similar.

You are making a huge assumption, one that has counter evidence that we can see right now.

How do you work with people like this that are incapable to separating individual actions from a nation?

My point is, this isn't an open and shut "This is America he can express whatever he wants regardless of intent or consequences!"

If you believe he made this film to intentionally incite a riot, what he did was illegal, whether he will be successfully prosecuted for that or not.

    No, it's not.

That shit only has *ANY* ground whatsoever if you're directly promoting violence. Even then it's virtually impossible to hold up.

like, to put it simply, the case you're referring to basically establishes that you're starting to push the line if you say "I think that guy standing over there should be killed..." at which point a debate can begin on whether it was intended to incite.

And that the only way it can be clear is if you're like sitting there screaming "KILL THAT GUY NOW" with clear intentions and expectations of actions.
