I don<t see why people hate gamestop so much
Unless they are doing different business plan then ebgames
Added a few more of you from the list. Happy to see people using it!
I used to get everything from Gamestop, lately though I would just rather it get shipped to me release day if I can help it. So while I am toiling away at work on Tuesday, my copy will be sitting on my entertainment stand at home -.-
They are most likely doing a midnight for Gears, so you can buy this.
What kind of magic world do you live in that UPS or whatever shipping you use gets stuff to you before 6pm?
No kidding! I am happy that mine generally just beats me home from work. It is the only thing keeping me putting in a full day's work.
I haven't even touched my Wii since the demo of this game.... How does this friend list work anyway?
prob gonna be three weeks late mebbe don't go to far without me ; ;
Is the camera as wonky come retail or was the demo just a bit off?
I highly doubt the camera is any different in the retail release. Is it the sensitivity or what exactly that you found wonky? Should be noted, if you were using the right analog for the camera (as most of us probably are on Wii U) that pressing the right stick up or down will adjust the camera's fixed angle of view. There are 3 or 4 fixed angles the camera will sit at behind you and nearly all of them save the default (directly behind you) angles are pointless. It took me a while on Vita to get myself to stop tilting the right stick up and down and ONLY pushing it left or right.
That takes some getting used to. I remember when I was using longsword a lot for some reason I would screw my whole camera up because my hand would twitch on the thumbstick and I'd be all over the place. Once you get a sense for the camera you'll be fine with it.
I could see it being part of the learning curve, but man chasing down beast with the camera as they dash past is gonna take some getting use to.
Honestly, with the new (in 3G) snap to boss via shoulder button you will just learn to change the camera that way during fights. That damned Lagombi (bunny in the demo) is a great monster to practice using that on. If you didn't know... as soon as you are noticed by a boss, if you tap the boss icon on the touchpad, a target reticle will show up on that icon and from that point on (or until you disable it by tapping the icon again) the Left Shoulder button will quickly snap the camera onto the boss. It is extremely helpful in the water battles too, when a boss can end up underneath you in the blink of an eye. Even if you haven't activated the snap-to-boss target, the Left Shoulder button is often easier to use to snap the camera back in front of you than the right stick is.
FYI Edgie, I just went to add you on Wii U before calling it a night and for some reason the option to "Friend Request" in your profile is greyed out. Anyway, just wanted to let you know. Happy to add you once you enable them in Miiverse Settings.
The Wii U friend system. Is it those stupid Friend Codes or what?
Game (UK) is doing an online only promotion you get a mh t shirt! if you preorder the game (Wii U or 3DS)
MUCH less stupid than the codes, but still plenty clunky.
Easiest way to add someone to friendlist:
- Open Miiverse
- Choose 'User Menu' at top left
- Choose 4th option 'Search Users'
- Enter their Nintendo Network ID (their username)
- Once they are found, view their profile
- Choose 'Friend Request' in the upper right
- Type a lame ass message
- Choose 'send'
- optional... get blocked. =P
If the 'Friend Request' button is greyed out, then they have not enabled them.
Accepting a request is as easy as opening MiiVerse and going to your notifications. The tab on the right there is where any you might have will be. Accept or Deny!
Also Edgie, there is this:
ZL/ZR control settings in game.
Type 1 : ZL button will be used for chat and ZR button will be used for Target Cam
Type 2 : ZL button will work like the L button ZR button will work like the R button
Type 3 : The ZL button and ZR button will work like left and right on the +control pad
Type 4 : The ZL button and ZR button will work like up and down on the +control pad
That 3rd option there is pretty awesome. Being able to use ZL and ZR to swivel the camera left and right is super handy.
Sweet
