So you can't play 3DS version online without a Wii u??? Well that sucks. Glad I didn't waste my time buying a 3DSxl
Pretty much Deejay. As I mentioned about 40 posts back... it was announced a month or so ago that with a LAN Adapter for the Wii U and a download of the "MONSTER HUNTER 3 ULTIMATE Packet Relay" application for the 3DS you could play online with your 3DS. But yes you have to have a Wii U because that is essentially what is connecting to the game lobbies somehow with that tool.
I am hearing (and hoping) that the cable I use for my MixAmp (this cable here) will allow me to use my headphones and my mic.
Not sure how often I will be using the mic, but it would be nice if it works. Just got a shipping confirmation from Amazon! Spent most of today creating a nice page full of links to have handy on my laptop as well as a Quick Rank Up list for the offline quests, which I assume is largely similar to Tri.
After listening to the IGN review, i got a little more hyped
For people with the game (aka drai) IGN says connecting to the online servers can suck a bit but after beeing connected there is 0 problems
How true is that?
I didn't have any trouble connecting, but there has also been a grand total of 7 people online during peak hours at most lol, might be worse when more people get it on tuesday.
But yes the game is super smooth during online games, we had a party of 4 and as far as I could tell there was no lag whatsoever for anyone, i've also played some local play with my roomate and friend on their 3DS' and it's a damn blast :D
Finally made a new bow also, after like 20 hours of play, game takes mind boggling amounts of farming to make/upgrade stuff, which I don't mind in the slightest
Ebgames open at 10AM tomorrow so i should have the game around 10h30 at home EST
Took alot of job today to have a smooth day at home so i might play all day tomorrow (exept night since it's hockey)
Only minor gripe I have so far is not being able to give people items higher than rare 3, I understand the reason for it, but it's still a little annoying.
I'm lazy
Can anyone repost
1) The charm runes stuff
2) The tools to get the good charm runes?(or was it table)
EDIT: Actually Rata, here is a pretty good recap on all of it. How to tell which table you get if you just start the game without effing with system clock, and then how to eff with the system clock to get the table you want.

Does anyone know what time this is gonna hit the eShop? I have $20 on my account I'd like to use (plus I got the black Wii and there's the rebate thinger or w/e for that, and not having to read from the disc). Just wanna know if I'm gonna be able to queue up a download at a reasonable time tonight or not mostly. Although a coffee fueled all nighter may not be out of the question...
It is hitting at Noon EST tomorrow. No midnight release as far as I understand it, sadly. So save your coffee for that 6.5GB download tomorrow and get some extra sleep.

Do both games have the ability to transfer saves out of the box or do I need to download some kind of app for that?
Stuck with the 3DS version all day tomorrow due to work.![]()
You will need an app on the eshop for both 3ds and wii U to transfer save
Also in the game theres a little dagger icon (kinda) under the yellow stamina bar
Whats that used for?
Also I hope you can put the map on the controller because on the screen it's too small for me lol
That dagger shows you your weapons current sharpness. The higher the sharpness of the weapon the more damage you do.
