I'm confused as to why anyone would need to hold the 3DS or gamepad that way at all lol
Edit- question answered![]()
On the PSP, it was pretty much the only efficient way to play so it's my running MH joke.![]()
Having so much fun, question about transferring saves. I've been playing on the wii u but need to head out in a bit. Can I transfer to my 3ds and then 3ds to wii u later? And is the program I need to download on the eshop for 3ds only or both?
I like in the commercial how they have a white guy, a black guy, an asian guy, and the lone female. GOT TO COVER THOSE DEMOGRAPHICS!
That is exactly what you can do... eventually.
From what I am hearing the transfer from Wii U to 3DS is right there in the main menu on Wii U, but the 3DS update that enables it to go the other direction isn't available yet? I literally JUST got my Amazon order and am updating the game for another 60 seconds, then I am grabbing my charm table 10. I don't have my 3DS copy yet though.
Ended up getting both versions of MH3U since it seems like all my friends have 3DS but no Wii U. Might hit online later tonight.
Can anyone confirm that the 3ds pas pro won<t work?
Game says it wont work for 3ds but
http://www.nintendolife.com/news/201..._uk_march_22nd
says it does
From what i can gather despite my noobness one of the early things i need to do is make sure i am not on one of the f'ed charm tables? Ive seen a method using fishing, is this the best way?
Got my game downloading while I'm finishing off my day in the office. God this is going to be a rough end of my shift lol. Gonna do some offline when I get home and get myself on a good charm table (haven't figured out which yet), then I'm down for some online hunting assuming that doesn't take too long.
Perfect thanks might get it with the 3ds version
So in my attempts to get this so far it seems like everything that can go wrong so far has. Walmart not having it last night. That's okay I already pre ordered it somewhere else I just thought maybe I could have picked it up at midnight. Nope. So I wake up today to 2 feet of snow and a giant plow snow bank behind my car. Take nearly 2 hours clearing all that out. Finally its time I can go pick it up. Nope. Car battery is dead. Its still snowing pretty hard too.
To top it all off while I was shoveling a UPS truck pulled up and the guy walked right through the snow and gave me a package, which of course wasn't the game because I didn't order it. At that moment right there I was kicking myself for not ordering it.
Some day I might be able to play. I just have a feeling that day won't be today.
I am surprised at how well I am doing with the switch axe so far. Taken down Great Jaggi a few times and just captured Azuros a few minutes ago. And now I have Shakalaka!
How do you transfer to the 3ds?
Opened my Wii U 3g and clicked transfer but i don't see the options on the 3ds or the app on the eshop
Circle Pad Pro? Yes, that works in the full game. It wasn't supported in the demo as that was an old version before the CPP was released according the internets.
Fastest way to find out:
Go through the tutorials stuff, gathering, all that. Once quests unlock, do the first three, kill all Kelbis (bouncy deer) you see and make sure you carve them for their horns.
- Harvest 'Shroom
- Farm Aid
- Guts - It's Whats for Dinner
That unlocks the fleet (Fishmonger Lady) When you first talk to her she will give you a Power Paddle. It will cost 30 Resource Points to send her out each time. Send her out to Moga, and use the Power Paddle she gave you. That will make her come back after just 1 day (1 mission).
Do the quest "Prescription Pick-Up" making sure to bring your Kelbi Horns with you. As soon as the quest starts, go over to the Red Box and turn in Kelbi Horns to complete the quest.
Now when you get back the Fishmonger Lady will have stuff from the Fleet. Don't remove the items, choose send to box but don't. Here is where it got tricky for me because the US site worked, but didn't seem to be communicating with the JP site for part 2.
Part 1 - Go here http://mhvuze.de/3ucharm/fishEN/ and enter your items from the Fishlady EXACTLY in the order they are in her menu.
Part 2 - Once you have entered them you will press the send button. Here is where it hung for me. SO... Also open this page, the JP version, http://hayasoft.com/chisamin/mh3g/tsearch.cgi and enter the same items in. Now, it is in Japanese but Bing/Chrome/Google whatever may translate for you. The important thing to know is that the items in the drop downs are in the SAME order as they are in the English version, so you should be fine to figure it out.
Part 3 - Once the items are in and you have successfully pressed "Send" on either site it should give you a grid showing X's and O's in the different columns. That is indicating whether it is possible you have that Charm Table.
So all X's and an O in 10 means you have table 10. I had O's in 6 and 10, so I had to send the Fishfacelady out a second time, the results that time gave me an O in 10 and a bunch of others but none in 6. So yay, I am on Table 10.
The tables you want to avoid are 11, 12, 15, 16, and 17. With 12 and 16 being the worst, but all of them being bad and only having a few hundred meh charms.
Here is a list of what other people believe each table to be good for:
So there you go... if you only want to make sure you aren't on the bad tables that is what you need to do. If you want to take steps to actually CHOOSE what table you are on beforehand, check this FAQ, reading the time portion and how to choose your Table.T1: Contains a nice balance of Blademaster and Gunner charms with high stats/many slots, but lacks good Awakening charms and doesn't excel at any one thing.
T2: Feels like an inferior version of T1. Lacks any amazing charms unique to this table, not much to talk about.
T3: All-purpose table. Especially rich in good evasion charms, but has the possibility for many skill setups with a Handicraft +4 OOO charm (with Sharpener -3).
T4: Good for Blademasters. Has the most charms suited for Lancers, but also contains a Handicraft +4 OOO charm and is good for other Blademasters as well.
T5: Good Evasion Distance and Earplug charms, great for Switch Axe and Heavy Bowgun users. Most of the good charms are Dragon Talismans though, so grinding for them may be a chore.
T6: Leaning towards Blademasters. Has both Handicraft +5 OO and Handicraft +4 OOO. Contains great charms for Evasion and Awakening with other useful skills.
T7: Most plentiful in Evasion charms. If you want Evasion +2 regardless of your weapon, this table has good unique charms.
T8: Above average Evasion and Guard type charms, but slightly lacking in other areas. Its Dragon Talismans tend to be good.
T9: Somewhat geared towards Gunners. Has plenty of charms with a gunner skill combined with Attack +10 or Expert +10. Does have excellent charms for Blademasters but its Handicraft charms are the worst of all tables.
T:10 Extremely good charms that combine Handicraft with another skill, such as Handicraft +5 Free Element +7. Is also plentiful in Edgemaster charms and probably gives the highest possible power with pretty much any Blademaster weapon. It does seem to be somewhat lacking in Good Evasion distance charms.
T13: No unique godly charm, but does have a wide variety of good charms in most areas.
T:14 Slightly geared towards Blademasters. Many great charms such as Sharpness +4 Free Element +7 and Handicraft +4 Expert +10. Rapid Fire +5 Expert +10 is great for Light Gunners as well.

Shit Graelinn, your writeup almost makes me want a gunner character and a blade character, lol. Gonna err towards melee though because I always tend to just dabble enough into gunning to wind up hating it in these games, though bow may change that. God I want to go home right now and play.
Rumor that it comes out Thursday or Friday
Which is gay but meh more dust for 3ds for now
