Duramboros armor S obtained lol. God I love how this looks so much lol. Dios switch axe is so much fun, gunna complete change up games like Alatreon trying to break horns. Ability to use a weapon that does the bomb effect without having bombs is fantastic.

Okay so I am absolutely loving the game and I've played for almost 75 hours so far but there is still so much stuff I haven't figured out yet. I feel like a huge noob but I have to ask! lol

When a monster grabs you and that purple bar shows up am I supposed to actually spam buttons and analong sticks or what? I usually spam the hell out of the left stick and just randomly mash everything else but I have no idea if that is even doing anything. Doesn't seem like it.

Is there any easy way to get good meat or any food where I can just be lazy and not use the BBQ spit. Anything I can just buy or craft normally?

Is it bad to mix and match gear sets?

I could probably sit here all day asking things but I guess I'll just keep it at this. I haven't really played much online aside from getting to hr3 duo with my friend so I haven't talked to any pros or got to observe them in battle yet so I'm still a pretty huge noob.

you can mix gear for just defense but gear sets have perks

I'm in the situation where my gear is all mixed up. I want the full Zinogre set though! Just been having bad luck trying to find farming groups. I got the bow and cap at least.

For getting grabbed, dung bombs will remove the monster from whoever they have pinned. You can even use them when YOU are pinned to free yourself.

As for meat, not sure. The double BBQ spit speeds things up considerably though. In Tri there was a vendor that sold meat during Jhen's arrival. Not sure if the granny vendor in the multiplayer port can sell meat or not.

On sets, as long as the mixing works you towards a goal skill wise, it's generally okay. Just keep the defense and resistances in mind too

Did finally get the Kings Frill i needed to finish the armor set i was making after one last "one last" run of the night.

Still rank 1 even though i have finished all but 2 of the 3 star quest in the fishing villiage....i am guessing i need to do stuff in the other place i can go?

That's right. Your rank is tied to the online portion of the game.

no, you can do "online" content solo, by traveling to the port. Any quests not in moga village is called online content.

This. If you go to Tanzia and pick the solo option, it's still the online content, just without the online. It's also safe to assume that if you transferred it to a Wii U in the future, you'd retain your HR for playing online.
