Absolutely. I just hit 8 star and opened up high rank Volcano gather quest. Farmed charms off and on most of yesterday. It will be nice for when I am at work or can't really do a full quest for some reason. 5-10 minutes for a few K zeny and 2-6 charms.

By the way, if you talk to the guildmaster in your solo tavern, you can change the type of quests that pop. For instance you can change the stipulations for Location, Large/small/gathering, and High or Low rank.

Yeah, after HR 8 or something you just start to gain ranks when you fight so many monsters. It is not uncommon to see people with 100-300+ HR eventually.

Been MIA the last few days (sick Saturday, Easter Sunday, now work), and I'm going on vacation until probably Thursday afternoon but after that...gonna wanna get my hunt on for sure. Might pop on tonight but most likely I'll just play offline and do some catchup work there and try to get the last few bits for my ivory lagi armor.

Does anyone know if you can go online with a 3DS player connected locally to a Wii U game?

The game isn't particularly clear on it, or how to go about doing it. Wife and I were thinking about hooking up with some people online, but the game and it's manuals are really gray about this one. I know the 3DS can't go online by itself, but it doesn't actually say anywhere that a Wii U game can't go online with a 3DS player connected locally.

Are you trying I. lagi? You need to do HR lagi to get some of the + parts. I. lagi doesn't drop horn and some other parts iirc.

Wow what a stupid fun fight! Just finished my first run in with Brachy ever. Solo Village 8 star and it came down to the wire. Finally killed him with 16 seconds left. Would have been sooner had I remembered tranqs, but nope! Only carted once. Goddamn this guy is a very very big meanie when he is raging. Ouch.
