I don't know enough yet to really know which guns I want, lol. If I remember right Azure Rathalos gunner armor seems pretty good all around. I still need goldbeard fur for my Selene X gunner set, and I could always use narga and his variants cuz his weapons tend to be pretty boss regardless of which weapon type you're talking about. Plus I might want to make Narga X for gunning cuz evasion+2, evasion distance, and sneak seem to be pretty awesome baseline for like, EVERYTHING EVER. We'll see how I feel after I get home tonight.

Just remembered I (and probably you too, Doom) have an open canteen quest. Gobul and green plessy in an underwater arena. We should knock that out tonight when we're both on.

Also I think today is the day I'm gonna make some honest attempts at Mark of the Hero. Most of the strategies I've read involve dispatching of i.lagi, which should be fairly easy assuming they all have reduced health since it's a multi-monster quest and then letting brachy do the heavy lifting vs. azure rathalos while you run around like a scared bitch and utilize hit and run tactics. Just gotta play super conservative and not rush things and I'm confident I can make it work.

Edit: Holy crap apparently you can dragonator 3x on the Jhen fight, lol. Not gamebreaking by any means but it'd speed up the fight considerably.

Just beat Mark of the Hero fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah. God that was intense and I carted twice due to how hard they all hit, lol.

Wow Alatreon's absolutely fucking stupid, lol. I'm obviously not understanding this fight at all. With longsword I spend 3/4 of the time running away and I attempted to kelbi bow his shit and got literally one-shot by his flying pounce attack. I'm totally bewildered.

And much like anything else in this game once you learn some attack patterns it's cake, lol All I had to do was whine apparently. Just kelbi'd his shit to death :3

Haven't been particularly active online on account of the wife and a couple buddies plus myself taking it kind of slow, but we're getting to the point where I think we're going to start jumping into bigger groups as opposed to duoing everything.

I usually do 3, 10, BG, password: BG. Only really hunt with people on here though so...take that for what it's worth.

Can't say I blame you, between years of FFXI and a couple other MMOs I have no faith in completely random people. I tend to stick to close friends or BG groups too.

I don't even bother migrating to a particular Server anymore. Just grab whatever is open, and then open the Friends List and jump to whatever room Wetticus is in, if no one is around I tend to just search for a particular Monster I need stuff from. Otherwise I am offline mining.

Not sure how much I will be on tonight, and tomorrow is pretty slim too as I am taking my daughter to see From Up on Poppy Hill. Sooo... yeah. Have fun without me if you don't see me tonight, I will be on Saturday evening and Sunday morning!

Finally buckled down and got my Helios X gunner armor for my kelbi bow. Made a couple good hammers and longswords, and got a full set of Agnaktor Z for lancing if I want to take that up again. Really missed the ability to be like, "You know I've killed this sombitch 40x with a longsword, let's lance him to break up the monotony."

I'll be on all day tomorrow if people wanna smash faces :3

Sorry I haven't been around this weekend, I thought I would at least be able to jump in last night. By the time I was home it was far too late for any of you to be on so I just cruised through offline Elder and managed to complete Mark of the Hero on my second attempt. First, with Horn, just didn't go as well. Switched to an Evade Distance, Evade +2, Awaken, Partbreaker Kelbi set and managed to complete it with about 6 minutes left on the clock. Letting Rathalos get worked over by Brachy is fun, but it doesn't always end up being super quick...

Tried Alatreon a couple times and he just destroyed me. First with Switch Axe and then with Kelbi. I just need to learn his moves, and/or finish a Giggi X set... he hits so hard. I may try to build a set for my God's Isle too, try sleep bombing him with that nonsense. Just not sure what to go with. I do know that I will never be able to pull this off though... damn.



HORRIBAD quality on the video, but it looks like he has Reload +2, Recoil+2 maybe?, Bomb Boost and Speed Setup.

Armor wise, to me it looks like Diablos U cap, Artian/Ancient X body and gloves, Diablos Z waist and feet. Not sure about the charm, guessing a Speed Setup or Bomb Boost charm as either of those skills could be be gemmed in to that set on their own.

I did mine in full giggi x kelbi bow getup with evasion+2 gemmed in. Just bring PLENTY of healing stuff and maybe some bombs if you wanna sleep bomb him a few times. Took about 20 min but it was doable. Think I carted once, maybe twice.

if you use a bomberdier set (herro Dio abusers) the JP's used to death bomb him in 1:30 easy way to farm crap

I realized quickly that I had never fought him in Tri. So his moveset is just a mystery to me. Since I am stuck offline until Tuesday most likely, I am just trying to farm up the stuff I need from Pirate's Island fish monger for the Artian equips. I may try him again. I will need to do a couple G Rank Giggi's solo for the rest of the Foul Glands I need to complete his set too. Missing being able to jump online and knock a few out in minutes =( TUESDAY SO FAR!
