Seems totally random. What I have been doing sucks, but it is probably the fastest way. I just turn in the 2 Kelbi Horns for the 1 Star Village quest, check the boats and repeat. They will switch out each time you do that. Currently have 2 boats out at Pirate's. I am also sending my Guildies to Volcano exclusively for chances for Tru Armor Spheres and checking the Moga Forecast to see if there is anything worth capturing. So far I have a single Slender Fragment =(
On that note...the absolute best way I've found to get those is to get 4 good people and do the Awesome Maw quest. It's an arena vs. a hilariously huge Nibbelsnarf. Awards 1-5 spheres per run and we were running it in sub 4 min. Gives pretty good charms too, and if you sell all the mats you don't need you can make a killing.
Ah good to know, thanks Wett. I had just been doing low level Blos, and getting 0-4 Armor Stones each run.
Thank Mots, he's the one that turned me on to that quest. Also I just made a boss hammer set. Awaken, Sharpness+1, Evasion+1, Focus. With my Grongigas Hammer that gives me purple sharpness, 1586 attack, and 400 slime damage pre-buffs. My hammer may be making a comeback, lol.
I am ok with this.
Lol yeah that hammer is nasty. Only downside is the -15% affinity, but that just means that 85% of the time I'm doing that full, beefy damage and the other 15% of the time I'm doing 75% of that which is still better than most hammers...
Yeah, I wouldn't mind the Uragaan Horn either. It isn't as beefy and it has no Slime (it awakens with Fire) but the songs are good (ATK and DEF and it hits hard). I just need mats.
Yep, back on Tuesday for sure. Until then it is just mindless Tru Sphere, Armor Stone, Fragment gathering nonsense...
I got pretty lucky on my fragments on my boots. They apparently only come from the Pirate's Tomb and are a 5% reward from that. I just repeated the kelbi horn quest over and over to advance days and left my boats open until the Tomb was on there. Usually had 2 going at once.
I should be able to get on tuesday, just make a post when you guys will get on.
Have been busy like the whole past week and haven't had a chance to play this in forever.
Was wondering where you disappeared to, lol. Btw Capcom had some in-house event thing where they let people play tomorrow's DLC over the weekend. Quoting a GameFAQs post...
"Gigginox Buffet: High-rank multi Nox quest. Kill 2 to complete. Makes the non-JP version of Asuna's GS. I believe it's the Lion's Bane.
Hard Hitting Line up: G-rank Blos, Uragaan, B.Blos, S.Uragaan in the arena. Makes the non-JP version of the Slash Fox SA.
Gathering of Songbirds: High-rank kill 4 tiny Qurupeco quest. You carve shiny fragments off of them. I don't know if they make anything, as nothing appears in at the blacksmith. I think you just sell them. Quest is useful if you want your Gold Crown small Peco. "
Yay new weapons we probably won't use cuz most G-rank weapons totally outclass them but we'll make anyway because we can~ Also shit yes tiny Peco! If they can call tiny Jhos I'll seriously lose my shit.
We'll see if we don't get shitty looking reskins of those for copyright reasons instead, lol.
Quoting GameFAQs again...relevant infos. So after doing science stuff we've come to a few conclusions.
1) when S.Jho is saved, he's saved for all quests that he can appear in. So if you originally find him in green narga, you can fight him in any of the advanced quests.
2) S.Jho is saved upon quest startup, so if you find him, you can abandon, quit the game, reload, prepare your inventory, and save with a prepared inventory. This way you don't have to keep preparing your inventory each time if it wasn't fully prepared originally. (This was extremely useful because after I got a lot of bloods in one of the rewards, I saved. Went to check if S.Jho was there and he was, so I had double savage. I was able to deposit my narga stuff and prepare my inventory to fight him again.)
3) Poison is fun. We kicked a deviljho to death, underwater tackled a plesioth to death, and kicked 2 Zinogres to death (the two zinogres were in the same quest xD). All hail the poison. Also poison is absurdly strong against deviljho. Like we all know he's weak to it, but he is absurdly weak to it. This last one isn't really science, I just wanted to say it.
And for anyone curious as to how we're able to host S.Jho
YoukaiSlayer posted...
If you find savage jho (and you posted the quest), quit without saving, reload your character and go on the same quest then savage jho will spawn again. And you can repeat that as many times as you want. The person doing the reloading obviously doesnt keep any of the rewards since he wont be saving but i figured id help some people out. I enjoy fighting savage jho anyway.
