I gunned him with my narga X set which if memory serves has around 420 defense (cheating with the blade hat, but haven't fully upgraded it, lol). Only carted once out of our 9 total carts and that one was on a lightning blast I totally misjudged and it did it's bullshit half circle reacharound and tickled my heel as I was pouring ammo down his throat. He's doable but christ he hits hard, lol. I still want his gunlance.

His lightning storm is just fucking ridiculous. I have never had one move drain my entire stamina bar before. Of course once that is gone you cannot block, nor can you run. You are open as fuck if he drains your entire stamina bar. I'm bringing mega dash juices next time.

Dash juices are pretty much a staple for me if I'm rocking any weapon that uses stamina as a resource, so definitely do that. Lance, gunlance, bow, hammer, duals...all dash juice, all the time. Thankfully I have a huge supply megas from sending my boats out to the 2* hunting spot when it's up and regular dash juice from making a shitload of rare steaks and buying catalysts from granny. I could use it on all weapons but it's just totally unnecessary for most of the shit I do.

I've never had problems managing my stamina bar before this. I also kept blocking his side tackle from the wrong direction. I simply could not cope.

Noticed something on switch axes that confused me a bit. One or two axes have Power or Elemental phials and (Ian/Los) have poison stat on them. How does an elemental phial affect a weapon that doesn't have an elemental stat on it? Or does it count the poison as an element?

Yes, all the phials increase respective damage by 1.5 if I recall correctly. So in the case of a poison weapon with an elemental phial it increases the poison status by 1.5 for every hit that procs poison.

You should pretty much only be after Power Phial Switch axes though. If you become proficient at using sword mode as often as possible the Power Phial is much better than any other phial type. That being said use what you like, or what you think will help your team out the most because the game isnt fun unless you are having fun.

Man, work is just an absolute killer for me today. Being sick and being at work is kicking my ass. Chances of me doing anything but coming home and passing out is getting more and more slim by the hour. So... when you don't see me on, making decisions in a cold medicine induced haze, that is why.

That Event Lagi really is no joke. Holy cow. I managed to win on my first try with a random group. Only one person died. I was playing SO conservatively and I still used every last one of my potions. If I had been smart I would have brought a bunch of traps to speed things up a bit.

You need 5 of those darn tickets for the gunlance. Which isnt bad except that it took us 30 minutes to capture the damn thing.

We need to wreck that tomorrow for sure. Side note: finally did my first lucent nargacuga. Dude's disappointingly easier than I figured he'd be. But...first kill cloudy moonshard, second kill mantle, lol. Now to go another 50 or so with jack shit to make up for it.

Yeah I hear ya, lol. I have to eat for lightning resist on my Narga X armor though, and I really like the evasion bonuses on it. Maybe I'll Kelbi it up.
