Yeah I haven't gone a full day without playing since release, lol. Sucks that you're sick, man. Get some good rest and get well. I'm certain I'll be on tonight and pretty much all day tomorrow if you're feeling well enough to play.

Just got to Goldbeard solo. I hate water battles on Great Sword. and I don't know how to hammer underwater. I wish 3DS had online. ;-;

Hell, hammering him is what I chose to do if only because by that point the best weapon I had for him was the Breath Core Hammer (Rusted Hammer upgraded twice). I just super pounded that beard as much as I could. You should be able to do enough damage to make sure you enter Area 3. Once there I just made sure to use all the available stuff (Dragonator, Ballistae) and then went back to his face/horns and could usually break one and repel him. Round two fight, I could kill him. It was all I had access to at the time, and it is an annoyingly long fight at that point with that gear, but totally doable. Bring Dash Juice too if you can.

Honestly the worst part of that for me... my lack of a CPP at the time and my pure hatred for how target lock on Ceadeus snaps you to his middle, and not his face. Once I had a CPP underwater in general was worlds easier.

Sounds like it's time to go get you a Wii U, lol. Seriously though, hammer functions much the same in the water as out of it. Triple pound (X + X + X) is your best bet. Super pound occasionally. Use your mounted guns when he's being a jerk and is too far away to chase and the dragonator when opportunity allows.

been playing 3ds only for a bit, finally have time to play so I set up my account on my Wii U. If I just want to join a game online with random people how do I do that? the Multiplayer UI is really confusing I'm not very far into the game yet so I am sure pick ups wont be too terrible.

playing on 3ds without circle pad isn't too bad, but swimming on Wii U is so much easier. m

Absolutely destroyed a high rank p.ludroth online solo, lol. I mean yes, it's high rank in G rank gear but still. Haven't EVER really used this weapon. Crit draw is disgusting.

pretty sure crit draw with a hammer used to increase K.O chance as well (since your basically criting its face in) not sure if its still about tho since hammer parties used to own

Wouldn't doubt it. That wouldn't be a bad set if you wanted to just super pound and nothing else I guess, but that's not really how I play hammer. Mostly because it tends to piss people off when you send them flying every 3 seconds, lol.

I'm at that point in the game where I'm really stretching myself thin to find weapons and armor to make. Example: I could make a greatsword that has like 49 more raw damage than the one I'm using and past that I really can't think of a way to improve my greatsword set unless I get that super rare Handicraft+4 3 slot tailsman. I'm nearly at the point where I'm just gonna go down a weapon tree and make EVERYTHING because yes.

On that note, some people better be in the mood to hunt some things tonight. Many monsters are asking for swords to the face.

I'd say go for it. Nintendo's finally getting their butts in gear and there's new 1st part games coming out soon. If you're as much of a MH addict as I am then that alone will justify the purchase, lol.

Hopefully we'll get a "HD" style port like they did with P3rd in Japan. Regardless, 3U and all the 1st party titles on the horizon made the Wii U worth it for me.

Sometime in the near future I wanna farm offline Alatreon for his weapons so I can be ready for when the G rank event of his finally comes here. Hell, even his 2nd stage weapons are pretty dope. Most have innate purple sharpness. Really hoping I can get him down to about a 10 min clear, otherwise I just can't see it being worth it to fight his ass if it's gonna take 20+ min a throw and be a miserable fight.

That's what I been tryin to get, E. Gems, but I can't search/make a room for Jhen yet... Do you have to be HR8 or something? I've fought him in single player and offline AND online and he doesn't show up in my search queries.. Yet monsters I haven't even seen/not high enough to fight appear.

For some unknown reason, yes. You have to be HR8 before he'll show up, whether you have the quest or not. It's kinda dumb.

Lame. Oh well, I got quite a few G Rank sets to play with now. Once I hit 8 though I'm gunna have to go after this L. Nargacuga to upgrade that power/poison awaken switchaxe. I looked it up after you guys mentioned it.. Shit has purple without sharpness +1 even on the 2nd to last upgrade. Must get.
