Go past wherever it tells you to go for quest mobs, it's the typical noob zone launch rush. There will be more mobs outside the circle area, orange on map, while regular non quest mobs will be red.

Still had issues finding certain imps even with that advice.

So very interesting game. The movement method seems like it wants me to point and click rather than wasd, at least it seems to default to the cursor a lot. The story has me wondering too but that's a good thing. I like that not much is spoon fed and I defiantly think having a clan/guild etc would really be necessary for this game. Maybe after I am done with B&S and if Bless Online is a ways off I'll buy this and see what clan BG is up to. Also can't decide if I want to be a hawt Valkyrie or a huge Berserker.

After I read your post I checked the settings and you can disable mouse movement.

We didn't really have an opportunity to play together last night, seems to me like it's not even really required. At least up till you stumble upon that port town (Velia? was it?) I'm guessing things will start getting harder after I enter the wilderness to the South and East~

I haven't had trouble with a fight till I hit that Big boy you had to fight on the beach (guessing this is all intended), it was the first time I had to use potions. The combat is interesting though, I'm trying to memorize all the WASD-EF-shift- combination attacking while purposely neglecting 1 through 0 hotbar buttons (I'm assuming that there should be specific skills saved for the hotbar that aren't as simple as just hitting S+E or RMB+D?)

I'm enjoying this a lot though, the story has me wondering a bit. The little black spirit accompanying you is hilarious, I particularly loved when he acquired teeth (won't stop clacking them xD.) There's No real goal in the beginning aside to just level up and explore (Very FFXI reminiscent for me and I love it.)

For anyone wanting to try out the cash shop, you're able to redeem 5,000 in DAUM bucks, I ended up buying a costume, some inventory expansion and weight limit increase stuff.
If you hit F3 to open the cashshop and click redeem/refresh at the bottom it will prompt to open a website...

Thanks for the cash tip! I am enjoying this game more and more, but still a little confused how server log in works. Is it 1 server with different channels or something?

My understanding was 4 (2 for NA and 2 for EU) servers total with 10 channels possible per server

Just found this on their CBT2 patch notes on the forums.

For CBT-2 we will feature a total of 4 servers; 2 for NA and 2 for EU. Each server will have a total of 10 possible channels, with 4 enabled by default with 6 to serve as overflow as needed.

Wow, the cash shop rivals the quality of APB. Just nuts on outfits, pets, items etc. Love the selection

EDIT: Pearl Abyss, or whoever is heading up Beta stuff, is doing themselves a HUGE disservice but not allowing for a short open beta. I think a lot of BGers would totally dig this game but not being able to try before you buy is a real nut kicker.

So many people crying on the forums/reddit about how over priced costumes are (even with those set-stat bonus.) Even more are complaining how OP the Utility/Convenience section for increase in inventory size, weight limit, etc. = pay to win. -_-;

I'm really thinking about dropping 100$ for the conquerors pre-order package now. Not sure I need all that crap that comes with it but I'm really enjoying the game so far.

If my buddy decides to play, then I'll probably pick this up. I thought about cheesing in with the Travelers pack, but the Explorer's pack is basically the cost of a regular game and has a good amount of "bonus" features. If enough peeps from BG play we could have a little guild or whatever too.

I haven't invested a whole lot into this game yet, but since the goal of the game, presumably, is whatever you want (explore, pvp, craft etc) what sort of pay to win cash shop items are we talking about here?

I think the dumbest thing is partial skill resets, which only reset the LAST tier of a skill line and I think there are 4 tiers? With resets being in the cash shop I find this really annoying, it completely discourages experimentation with builds and such. And if there is ever a patch that changes the "best build" well now you get to fork over more $$ to be on par with everyone else.

Also 32$ for a costume? Sure it's vanity, sure it's not needed, sure you can live without it. But the principal behind the matter that they were trying to charge that means they will try stuff again later. The people who are complaining are right to do so, any I feel people who complain about them or defend the cashshop in general just don't get it.

Probably won't be picking it up anymore sadly.

They aren't set in stone I don't think, but that is what they originally wanted them at. It may change since a LOT of people are complaining but I feel like trying to charge that in the first place put me off a lot. Another BIG issue I forgot to mention is dyes. You guy dyes which are random and a 1 time use. Armor has multiple places you can dye on a single piece so if you wanted matching colors on everything you need to pray to RNGjesus to get 20+ dyes of the same color.

This is the only thing I dont like. Bring on 1 time use packs of 5, and I pick/customize the color.

They want to cry about $32, but dont want to mention that its for armor set + weapon set. Armor only is $22, not counting any coin bonus bulk freebies. Seems in line with other games.

I expect[ed] energy/double exp pots in every no subscription game, and they want to clamour over a +10% exp bonus in a quick leveling game with a soft cap. Don't really know what to tell people.

So happy it's B2P at least to weed scrubs out. Talking in global chat cost energy btw, nice touch.

So far I've been enjoying the game, but I will echo what others have said about the partial skill resets and the random dye thing. PSO2 had extra skill trees as well as resets in their cash shop. However what they've been doing for a while now is giving out free reset passes for each character on that account after any kind of balance patch. It did however get annoying for those who used several different classes.

Cash shop aside there has been some shady stuff going on. What games is it in line with? Cost aside everything is bound to 1 character, despite all classes sharing MOST costumes. Pets are 10$ and are also bound to 1 character, unlike WoW were it's account wide.
