I have the Nier disc sitting in my PS3 right now, but I've usually got DUST514 running, or I've been playing through the original Starcraft campaigns (I got this weird urge after seeing some of the DOTA 2 finals whilst switching PAX streams).
And of course, BL2 in DAYS, so yeah, play is gonna get pushed back again.
VC & VC2 are both great games but VC is still the best one as far as I'm concerned. It's fucking fantastic and you're really doing yourself a disservice by now playing through it. It's that good.
Still pretty fun since the concept was all new to me.
VC 1 is harder I think because they don't have all that good shit that makes the classes in VC 2 so good from the get go. And there are less classes in general (iirc) so you don't have as many options. If you found VC 2 easy you'll probably find 1 as easy (excluding the time it takes to get used to the downgrades).
All I remember is scout being amazing, Alicia in particular was great. The story (if you care about that) is presented a lot better and the characters/setting seem more appropriate for the type of game it is. It's also fucking beautiful.
Also, pissed Bayo 2 is exclusive, happy that it's being released. CONFLICTING EMOTIONS ARE COMPLICATED
I will admit that a lot of what made VC2 so easy was the fuckery with the bases and being able to capture one and pop someone out on a whole other map fucking enemies up from both sides at once, etc.
Apparently that isn't possible in VC1 since it is all just huge maps, so that may make a large difference.
I have no idea!
You can capture bases and pop people out at other areas in the original VC. But like you said the maps are huge. So it's more of just a time saving way of moving your troops up. The game gets easier the more times you play through it. You won't be able to unlock all the characters/potentials on the first play through. Some characters can only be unlocked in a specific character is allowed to die etc. Overall I found the difficulty to be higher in VC but nothing that was over the top hard. Except for the Edy Detachment DLC's. Those were fucking brutal.
My Wii is the only console I still play (for Xenoblade Chronicles & Zelda). The 360 rarely gets hauled out any more![]()
My Wii got the most use after my PC.
I still play N64 more than anything else
FUCK SONY AND SQUARESOFT! I'm not buying Final Fantasy 7 or a playstation!
Man, i just don't understand why nintendo fans love other people's misfortune
