    I don't think for embedded videos, but if you go to the youtube page for the video you can set preferences in your account to play HD when your connection can support it. The better way is userscripts that force it, though, like this: https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/114002

    No idear, not having a problem with it. Can you install any other scripts? Assuming Firefox, maybe try Scriptish instead?
