Welp, going to hell. When she got to the card that said the guy made a facebook page, and the profile pic was her boobs, I chortled a bit. Perhaps she should've realized that the mechanism which was allowing people to cause her so much grief even after moving several times was facebook? She could've just deleted her profile at any time.

This could have been avoided so many ways. Disregarding not doing something silly like showing your boobs on a webcam to strangers...

All it would have taken was one person coming up to her at school and asking why she was alone and then from there being a fucking human being. She also should have cut all ties with Facebook and any social media after the initial incident. Why did her parents not do this for her or explain why not to go back to Facebook? The fact that she was in counseling and taking medication (whether you agree with them or not) means she was taking steps to get through this and somehow she still fell through the cracks.

Just ugh. Such a waste and I hope that at least the people that beat her up can get prosecuted for something.

Luckily, I have Herp Derp to filter all the comments on Youtube. I would most likely loose my faith in humanity even more if I didn't. Anyhow, sad ass story. Just needed a real friend or two and she would have been at least semi-better.

You seem to be under the impression that most teenagers have the slightest inclination of decency and compassion.

Most? No. But seeing as how she changed schools at least 3 times you would think that somebody would have caught on. I'm convinced that we just need a vigilante to beat the shit out of people that do this type of petty retardation. This could have been avoided if we had a goddamn Batman.

Honestly, changing schools so often probably really didn't help her that much, no one wants to be friends with the newbie/outcast unless they themselves are outcasts, and they're too socially awkward to really reach out to anybody unless the timing is right. It's a fucked up scene, I fucking hated High School, but at least I was in the stoner/metalhead cliques.

I guess. I was always taught to have compassion for other people getting hurt or to be cognizant of when people are hurting emotionally. That has definitely tapered off as the years have gone by just because you have to be jaded to survive nowadays but when I was her age I would definitely have sensed that something was fucked up.

Kids in middle school through high school are always going to be mean. They were when I was younger and they still are now. The only difference between then and now is social media and how much people are connected to it. You could easily damage a persons reputation through social media a lot easier than by regular word of mouth on the playground. Kids these days need to be more aware of what they are doing and if it has the ability to haunt them later on down the road.

This just reminded me, about a year ago one of my "friends" and I had a falling out and his retribution was to make a facebook page in my name, friended a bunch of my friends and proceeded to slander me and pretty much try to make me look like a flaming queen. I didn't even have a facebook at this time because I hate social media, but it just goes to show how immature people can be. All I did though was report it, get it bant and not a single fuck was given after the fact. The dude was 25 at the time btw,, but he was always an insecure bully type, fucking pathetic lol.

And people wonder why I refuse to use facebook. Just one of the many reasons. Seriously whole thing probably would have been avoided if not for facebook. Guy would have had to resort to more traditional methods of stalking, and the police know how to deal with those. Why she didn't get more legal help about this (and why all of her friends ditched her because of it) is beyond me.

Agreed 100%. Such a shame this type of thing happens. Seriously, that story has made my mood pretty shitty for at least another day or so. Had to stop reading the YouTube comments before I put my fist through my monitor.
