So, as someone who didn't really care about DA:O and thought DA2 combat was half decent but the rest of the game 'bleh''... I'm kinda on the fence about this game.

The gameplay videos look pretty interesting and I'll likely try it eventually regardless, the only question is when.

Should I get on it as soon as I finish my current batch of games (I'm sure it'll be out by then) or do I wait until 2015?

If you don't care, I'd wait. I'm willing to bet there will be a half price sale within 4 months. Bioware games go on sale fairly regularly. I'm assuming you're talking about for PC? Either way, I'm sure there will be a sale at best buy for the console versions with the first few months of next year.

I did this way back when lol. But theres no chance of me replaying DA2 ever again probably. Will barely have time to finish up Origins before 3 is out.

I do think the armory thing is a bit too detailed. Would be nice if they only asked you to fill out the stuff that cross-over into this DA:I. Instead of having you need to fill in every little minuet detail

Messed around in Origins for about 20 minutes before passing out last night. Like the big dog friend I have (Human Warrior intro story). The choices get a bit annoying like they did in Mass Effect for me; I find myself stressing out too much about the implications of the choices.

Guy: "Next time I may bring my daughter to see you!"
Me: [Do I express interest? If I do, am I going to miss out on some hot chick later?]

If a choice has implications later it'll be pretty obvious (do I kill this guy or let him go, etc)

The best suggestion I can offer is to think less about the implications in game terms and more about how you (or your character would react). When I first started playing these types of games, I would wonder about which choice was best in terms of loot and it made everything very boring.

I found that I enjoy myself more if my choices are more reaction and less thought. I stopped worrying about missing things because I'll either play it again if I like it or never play again if I hate it. The latter means I missed nothing and the former that I'll probably see it on another play.

I need to get back into Origins. Was playing it pretty intensely, then rebuilt the PC and kinda fell off.

For anyone that has EA Access on the X-Box One the trial version of the game is now up. Gives you six hours of game time which can be spent playing the main game or off doing MP. Also game save will carry over to launch if you purchase it for XB1.

I would imagine it is 6 hours of playtime. So long as you quit the game and don't leave it up and running for six hours you should be fine.

Inquisition supports Kinect voice commands in a similar was as ME3, for anyone who has one/cares. You can tell party members (the one you're controlling included) to do various things like hold position/attack my target/heal.

when I made my dwarf the slider seemed to have between 20-30 options. (not all good necessarily, but plentiful)
