Having only just reached the part where I can start using the War Council boardgame thing, does Power consumed by missions return upon their completion, or is it gone forever? I had the four necessary to head to Val Royeaux but sent Leliana and Josephine on missions that apparently consumed some (or there's a bug where backing out of the mission consumes Power anyway. I didn't pay enough attention to notice if I lost it after I backed out).
Upon further inspection I do believe it's a bug that consumed 4 Power despite not leaving for Val Royeaux. None of the missions I sent anyone on consumed any more Power.
duplication glitch if breaking the game is your thing.

Just beat the game. Overall I enjoyed it. Definitely want to play again as a new class. I don't recommend you do what I do and sorta rush through the main story...oh well.
Speaking of game breaking, Knight Enchanter with crafted gear is ridiculous. I don't know if it will be on Nightmare, but since unlocking it on Hard I don't think I've died to anything. Insane barrier.
The worst part is the game will stop attacking even when holding the hotkey down and the passive mana regen doesn't always work (because you're moving when you attack).
I have found a way to get around the long wait time in the war table: Should work on PS4 and Xbox One. Not sure about PC
(I don't consider it game breaking you might so I'll spoil it)
Spoiler: show
Knight Enchanter can solo the game on Nightmare if you know what you're doing. It's basically Arcane Warrior redux
Been playing this shit all weekend. So cracked out. Great fun. I'm little salty I can't romance Varrik, but just minor quibble. My favorite one of the Dragon Age series hands down.
The writing and voice acting in this game really is top notch. The handling of topics like religion (most of the game) and things like sexual orientation or drug addiction (some of the side quests) are probably the best portrayals I've seen in a video game.
Even simpler things like the interactions between Cassandra and Varric are a great show of how nuanced all the characters are. I won't deny there's some control/gameplay issues, but the overall presentation is everything I would want from a AAA title.
Speaking of voice acting, unless you love spoilers don't look at the voice actor list for this game. I did that when the discussion of Freddie Prinze Jr. popped up here and accidentally spoiled a really big moment for myself towards the end of the game.
Oh sweet Jesus the post credits scene. I'm assuming it's the same for everyone, and man, if you've ever read up on the series history it's epic as fuck.
Ugh... Just got to the base to find out my DA Keep info didn't transfer over because...
Spoiler: show
Ugh kind of annoyed now >_<
My game asked me that same question in your spoiler and my Keep info definitely migrated over. My character is a dwarf and a few characters have also referenced how the Hero of Ferelden was also a dwarf, which I did play as.
Okay then maybe it's just letting you pick again. Good to know. It did keep my choice of King and Queen of Ferelden, Alistair and Anora together.
I think that might be the default. My keep info didn't transfer in the playthrough I was doing and they were there. But I was already like 10-15 hours in when I noticed so just accepted it and moved on.
There's no big clue about it until Hawke shows up, which kind of sucks since it can take awhile to get there.
Very early in the game, you get the chance to ask Varric about the whereabouts of the rest of the party members from DA2. That should be a good early indicator on if your Keep transferred over.
