I love using in-game exploits to break stuff.

weird fucking bugs going on in western front. Stroud taking like 30 second between talking to go to the next scene. my brother complained of this shit on the xbox one too. so its on both console versions apparently
Also dupe glitch for ps4 seems to be capped at 259 of an item. Still, 259 dragonbone is damn fine considering i had 5 before :D

Are there any skill point tomes or other useful things you can duplicate?

Negative. item must be stackable. so that rules out equipment and such

Bah. Was hoping there would be some stackable book like in Origins you could duplicate. Oh well.

Doing a second playthrough on Nightmare and chose templars this time around. Fuck the Envy Demon fight right in the ass.

I have not tested, but seen posts that if you loot a chest and leave at least one item in it, you can come back later and reloot it as it will have refilled, allegedly Vivienne has an Amulet of Power in a chest meeting these criteria, but I am not sure exactly where.

So for those of who who have done mages and Templar path, w/o spoilers, which one did you like better?

The Mage mission is a better single player mission, but the Templar arc seems to play out better over the course of the game. Just my opinion at the moment.

Mage mission was definitely better, and you can get an agent out of the deal.

The boss fight on the Templar side is not super well designed either. Having to kite in circles and let the unkillable npc assisting in the fight whittle down the boss because your party members are too fucking stupid to move out of AoEs isn't very fun.

I had the hardest time deciding and all the npcs I talked to didn't really sway me one way or the other, but I decided upon the Templars. Basically it came down to wanting to keep good terms with Cassandra and Cullen. I could give fuck all about Vivienne and Solas, and the quest description said Josephine and Leliana worked hard to make the operation possible. I didn't have much of a reason to side with the mages aside from Dorian and helping the people of Redcliffe. In the end I decided to side with the characters I liked instead of going for the more interesting story (fucking time travelling motherfuckers). I'll definitely do mages on the second playthrough if it happens.

I'm about 28hrs in right now and just got to Skyhold, i'm having a hard time putting the game down since there's so much going on. It doesn't lend itself well to small chunks of gameplay, i'm spending hours doing activities then going around and talking to all the npcs to get their reactions. I guess in hindsight I shouldn't have tried to 100% the hinterlands before moving on, but I was able to get a lot of agents because of it, and I was definitely OP going through some of the operations. I also hit up the forgotton oasis but I ran out of shards and couldn't find any more in the actual zone.

I do have a couple small complaints, the loading times are fucking ridiculous. Character movement is also really wonky given the type of terrain they want us to go over. I kinda wish they had contextual climbing animations, or if they want us to jump on rocks/boulders to get to objectives make it fucking easier. The game would do well with better AI pathing. I had a lot of issues with my AI companions, they kinda herp derp all over the place, but I went in and changed the tactics around (don't save resources, use more of certain types of abilities, disable the useless ones) and it's getting better.

Lastly, I fucking hate how they're dealing with healing. I'm running my group with two warriors, one mage and myself as a rogue to make up for it. The armor health bar along with barrier hp is extending my play time before I have to stop and rest/refill pots.

PS: Anyone know if there's a PS4 icon mod for PC? I'm using my Dualshock 4 and the xbox icons are annoying.

Holy damn at the dragon experience. Never noticed before. but i killed the second one in empri du lion or whatever, and i got 15k. granted it was level 21 and i was level 19 MC 18 party but still. These dragons are fun as shit. gonna be sad when i murder them all. loot is good but they die so easily once iron bull goes on his rampage.
Time to try my hand at the level 23 one.
Also 5000 xp for a level 20 rift? Damnn.

Holy god is this dragon insane. He wiped the floor with my party going through all 12 potions, And he casts magic!

Just crafted some armor for my party with fire resistance and my tank has 100% fire resist. lets see how i do after work tonight.

I haven't killed any yet on Nightmare. I'm lv 16 now so thinking about going and trying the Hinterlands one again. Need to make some fire resistant shit for my ranged DPS

Game is easy on nightmare if you cheese it by using good trait setups and crafted equipment. The hardest stuff so far is the templar path boss (seriously, ug) and fighting with controls. If you build a tank correctly, they can survive for basically ever. Build your Inquisitor correctly in any spec with the right equipment as well and you're invincible.

Wasn't unexpected, but I feel like the tactical camera issues make nightmare more tedious than difficult. Either you don't build to be the best and have difficulty because of the AI and controls or you build the best and coast.

Hinterlands is actually harder than the Crestwood one, in my opinion. Probably because I had geared and was using a slightly different party at the time, but the lack of adds made it much easier, even though it was a higher level.

I've killed the Crestwood and Hinterlands dragons so far, and I cheesed both of them with Cassandra and Blackwall. Timing your shield blocks and taunts correctly keeps guard up permanently on them. As long as you don't fall asleep at the wheel so to speak, you can whittle them down in a few minutes.

Tbh the hardest part of the game on Nightmare is the AI. Proper use of "Attack My Target" to burn down ranged targets goes a long way to controlling the fight, but your party members still love to just run into shit or stand directly in AoEs

glad I'm not the only one who realized that archers are stronk as fuck. mother fuckers take my reaver from 100% to 25% in one shot sometimes if I don't have any guard up. I send my tank in first to draw initial fire but they always seem to target me soon after.
