Everyone cares because we actually care about the NFL. It's not funny, it's just sad. This isn't the NFL we know and love. It's why we spend the money we spend to go to the games, it's why we watch every game on Sunday it's why people fork out hundreds of dollars to buy the ticket.
You're right about one thing though, it happened to the Packers, they don't have 1 owner. If this happened to Dallas Jerry would have fixed it right then and there, if this happened to a team with an owner that had some say maybe then there would be progress made in bringing the real refs back.
Lol, Packers fans are picketing and shit.
Niggas talking about "this isnt' the game i pay to watch"
then continues to pay to watch it.
C'mon guys it's just a game.
You know it's a story when EW.com has an article on it.
God I wish Al Davis was alive to see this. I can already envision the press conference now as he tries to fire the ref's like he fired Lane Kiffin
I'm still waiting for the NFL to overturn the Brandon Stokely walk off catch.
Because there's no way they should allow a white receiver on the field.
But it was one loss and we still made the playoffs.
On a serious note, the refs are making the games unwatchable, but we're all still going to watch. We have to, because it's football.
i dunno if it's just people who hate the packers or people just love to troll but nearly all the SEA fans I know (die hard super homer fans I've been friends with for years mind you) or see posting online feel so bad for GB, none of them wanted to win like this, NO ONE should want to win like this. It feels tainted as it should, they're embarrassed, the NFL should be embarrassed even more. No one even gets a chance to talk about how amazing their defense played the first half too. It's just wrong.
I don't blame SEA fans at all, I do look down on Pete Carroll and Golden Tate, they have absolutely no integrity for their post game comments. According to this article not everyone on SEA feels that way whoever said it is one thing no one fighting the comment among them is another.
I don't even think most packer fans want a change to the result of the game, they just want the NFL to admit it was wrong and work on fixing it. By not admitting it they're holding their ground vs the refs and we will all have to put up with this as fans even longer. That's what we should all want, a fucking apology and a promise to fix it.
Here's the difference. You have to dig through the history of youtube to find egregious calls with the regular refs. You simply have to throw a dart at any of the games in the last 3 weeks to have a better-than-not chance of finding horrible officiating. It's indefensible, so I don't know why you're defending it.
Also, I think the NFL justifying the call with simultaneous catch clause is a complete insult on the intelligence of it's viewership. It should have just avoided that altogether because people will tear that argument down.
It's just funny to me how all of a sudden the regular officials are so good, when they still have a ton of shitty officiating.
They are good in comparison, but first week where a questionable call comes down that gets judged wrong with the regular refs will go back to being terrible and people will cry "DAMN WHY NOT JUST HIRE BETTER REPLACEMENTS THAN THIS SHIT"
I personally love the replacement refs. Never before have so many games held my interest. It's like playing Russian roulette every time the whistle is blown. It's fucking fantastic!
