Better check yourself before you wreck yourself
We might as well just go ahead and give the Lombardi to whichever team has the QB with the highest QBR.
Any idea who that is?
Week 4: Playoff Implications. Bregor pls
which they can't do because they agreed to that dumb clause in their contract with the league last year
A couple of things could happen.
Honestly, I feel that the best scenario would be for these replacement refs to admit they aren't cut out for the job. As long as they are willing to work, the real refs have no leverage. But in the meanwhile, these individual refs are losing tons of reputation and being treated like total dirt. If I were them, I'd be second guessing my choice to agree to work in the pros.
That's not likely to happen, but I wish that it would.
The only other option is for teams' players, coaches, managers, etc. to put pressure on the owners. Everyone loves to shout "Goodell Goodell Goodell", but it's the owners who are at fault. They're trying to intimidate the refs into submitting to their will just like the NHL is trying to do to its players and teams, and the result is the same: complete stalemate. Striking is one option (a very unlikely one - these niggas want their checks). I think the best way for that to happen would be two teams coming head-to-head agreeing to just, like, not play. Go out on the field and say they won't play with these refs.
Either that or have someone die. Sadly this is probably the most likely of my suggestions.
Spoiler: show
Mayor of GB writes to Goodell.
Homers homerin'
Dreams about being a ref in the NFL, finally gets the chance, suddenly realizes refs get shit on, remembers he is a fucking ref, is ready for week 4.
