I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that's lower "than it should be", and might explain why he was so reluctant to release them up until this point...

tax return. singular. As in one. Last year's when he was already running for president. He had already released part of it.
This literally means nothing and is likely a dodge because people are retarded so they might say "wait I thought he did release his tax returns" when people bring this up down the road
Didn't he already release 2 years worth 2010 and 2011?
The tax returns are a total non-issue because the size of his disclosed retirement accounts already proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's a tax cheat.
Because the IRS is prohibited expressly from calling bullshit on the estimates of those assets value when they're placed into the account to shield them from taxation. Its really no different from me insisting that every thousand dollars of my income has a value of three cents, except that I haven't curried enough favor with congress to convince them to make the IRS look the other way.

Edit.. taxes make my head hurt just like politics...
Well-reported all over the place over two months ago that his retirement accounts fall into the 21-100 million range, and that the most plausible explanation that doesn't involve tax evasion is that Romney is a 4000 year old vampire who got in very early on the retirement savings craze.
I thought Republican and greedy cheat were one in the same. Why is everyone so surprised that this guy is shady? Republican politician says it all.
Haven't figured out the democratic equivalent of this yet...Maybe not-as-greedy liar/say one thing, do another?
It was also stated that he did not declare all of his charitable donations. Declaring all of his charitable giving would have lowered that percentage. It's good for him he just happened to pay more than he had to that year. Maybe that George romney guy was on to something.
Any bets on how much of that massive chunk he donated to "charity" was the mormon church?
Considering the sheer amount of wealth that church has amassed, I'd say all of it.
Question is: why does he need that much money in the first place?
Why do people like that need that much money?
It's not like sportstars/actors/singers: they have high-class prostitutes, fine booze and silences to buy but he can't, since he's got to maintain a "wholesome" reputation... so what can he spend all that on?
