I needs me some Wyrm Bears.
I needs me some Wyrm Bears.
Awesome. Also, prepare for an Honor flood (as if they weren't worthless enough already).
There are some JP dev posts today that (as far as I can tell) mostly give non-answers to JP questions.
My kingdom for a Nomad Moogle statue as an R5 prize. Already got ever other statue besides it and this one if it's even obtainable.
Its like they used a dart board to come up w prize ranking
Translations are up now. Nothing super significant, but interesting either way. I'm looking forward to more info on the enmity system.
Woot skill up rings. Shame my other accounts don't have 9 mules like my main lol
Regarding the post about Twilight Scythe....who the hell has complained about that and feels it needs to be adjusted? I mean really...it's mostly used for that custard in NNI with -pdt, or kill all floors, and even then you can't use endark otherwise that blocks it's added effect of death. Doesn't proc on any mob that cons Impossible to Gauge...what's the problem with it? How would we offer feedback to leave it as it is, just go to that post on the official forums?
Yeah, the bitching about Twilight Scythe seems kinda wtf. It has to come from people who play jobs incapable of damaging mobs that Twilight Scythe does. I mean as a standalone piece it's pretty underwhelming. It's only good for a handful of mobs and still results in your dropping a fuckton of DPS. It's not like you can use it and keep doing damage on a par with Ragna, you're dropping probably a good 50% in damage.
Actually, thinking about it the hatred make perfect sense. Probably comes from people going 'Waaaaah, waaaaah Salvage Hydra/Cerb are too hard. It's not fair DRK has a way of making them easier!'
Man, it feels like there is going to be a megaton of changes coming as to how we will play this game. It is very exciting.
I have to wonder if people are hating on the Twilight Scythe, are they also hating on that GK from Uptala? I mean, aside from the death part of it...it does the same exact thing. Maybe because it's more rare to get, people don't cry about that one, I'm not sure. The whole thing seems silly to me honestly.
That Mog Bonanza reward list is is insulting and infuriating.
Thank god, I'll never win Rank 1~3. Not ever.
Yay enmity changes~ And more -dmg% gear? In before some JP rank 1 Bonanza winner gets mayad that his new Defending Ring is obsolete thanks to the introduction of a Defenderingester Ring (and where's the Blacker Belt I was promised?).
And all this bitching about the Twilight Scythe reminds me of a bit from the other day's posts.
Do they mean just a wider variety of weapons with higher dmg, or like a whole new tier of crafted and dropped weapons? They can't really close the gap between REM weapons and others too much. Especially relics, since a lot of those pretty much only have damage rating going for them. Still think relics in general need a hard damn reevaluation. It's stupid that the majority of them only have the purpose of being the best weapons to use for merit WS.
Similarly, the way he handles that "we will adjust the defense value on armors" will be another one of those milestones that shows us what kind of director Matsui is. To obsolete gear, or to buff it?
Of course the solution to both woes is Trial of the Moogaliens. Little Green Mogs from Mars (WAIT NO, BIKER MOGS!) descend on Vanadiel and empower our puny Magian trial weapons with their space kupomagic. The Magian animations are already all Sailor Moon'd up. Maybe Moogaliens will be like in Madoka and we'll all get to be witches. TEK-SETTAH
Looks like I was right about Moogaliens. Found this in the dats.
Spoiler: show
Bike Mogs from Mars. One can dream.
I really love the sound of this, it'll be really cool if every weapon type has something unique to it. If they do it right it'll add a lot of aspects to gameplay.we'd like to go in a direction that gives a unique characterization to each weapon type
It's great that they're going back to the basics of the game and readjusting them to make combat more interesting.
The Twilight Scythe stuff is kinda wtf though. I suppose it would be nice to add an option for other jobs to do damage in that fashion, but I wouldn't nuke that weapon specifically.
I could imagine winning and being angry that I didn't get 2nd place.
