Looks like they are going with adjusting twilight scythe from post Matsui made today, as far as I can tell from google translate.
A couple of JP updates. It's mostly bullshit, but it looks like they're nerfing Twilight Scythe so it has a slip effect?
Someone light the Slycer-signal.
The way its worded it sounded like it could be a slip effect but from the context it could be a 'souleater' effect where HP is lost on each hit.
Here's that Matsui post:

Those were all just possibilities, nothing confirmed yet. Only thing confirmed is that they are changing something for sure.
Looking at other posts now to see if anything's worth translating.
Well that's just even more retarded than I thought it was. Drk uneveness isn't from twilight scythe you stupid JP. It's from resolution goddamnit. Not that I'm calling for a nerf to it but twilight scythe isn't the source of anything broken as far as drk is concerned.
>Nerf DRK weapon
>Sam weapon a-ok
Stay JP, JP's
If what you're fighting has a 100% physical shield/invincible, you can't even melee for TP with the sam weapon thou, seems not as useful. There's also the fact that virtually everyone has a twilight scythe, while virtually no one has the glow gkt.
Still not what you would call broken and needing to be fixed
If their intention is players to bring mage jobs to deal with physical resistances/shields, and players respond by successfully using drks/mnks/glow gkt sams instead, I would call that broken yeah lol.
Not that adding a random souleater effect is a good way to nerf it...
Lots of good data from SE but the need to have players in the sphere to get GEO centered buffs will be dangerous on anything with a huge AOE unless that barrier is over 20' which from the pic it looks like it isn't. Better have those DT sets at the ready, you're gonna need 'em.
Are bells a ranged item or main hand tool?
Also the totem deployment timers and how much of a beating they can take will make or break this class. IIRC GEO were to have t1-4 nukes and a unique nuke line? Could be good spell support and put SMNs out of business on that front.
Completely random, but I would like Kincard to try his hand at the magian staff unification again. Fourteen to Fifteen inventory would be great. The obvious solution is to unique by utility (DMG/ACC/Perp).
What the hell is wrong with Japanese player? Japanese players don't play this game. At least Matsui sacked up and told them to stop being whinerbabies. I am annoyed with the "Hey you like those magic changes we proposed? Too bad, we're reviewing them. Expect them in December's update." The JP players probably complained that the ability of magic users to cause magic damage was unbalanced to melee players.
Bells are probably a ranged item. If you look in the screenshots for the Geocolure descriptions under Geomancy, that Galka is holding one of those weird clubs from the concept art made of wood (new weapon type? I'm down for new weapons!). Which means the bells coming out are probably part of the casting animation.
My LS had a small debate about GEO last night after we saw the updated SoA page and the new GEO info.
Some of the things that were asked...
1. Will Bells be an actual weapon? If so, start making those Lv. 1 Lady Bells for all those aspiring GEOs!
2. Will Bells be considered a "Club" type weapon? Or a new class of it's own?
3. Taking a quote from the SoA site: "Polishing one's skill in the handbell makes it possible to enhance the effects of geomancy spells." - Will this be based on Club Skill? Or will it be a new type of magic that we all need to skill up from scratch?
Looks like GEO will be club wielders with access to staff (one can only hope SE doesn't deny this mage class the ultimate mage weapons out of BALANCE) and bells will be how Geomancy skill levels up akin to Singing/Wind skill.
I'm deathly afraid of this job getting PUP'd but thats normal when it comes to SE doing anything new.
