NNI would have been completed in a week if that were the case. Cant really expect them to design their content to be completed in 7 days, then people just gonna be asking for more new shit before the paints even dried.
Once / day for meebles is dumb though, considering the loot (and pretty stingy at that) requires 5 days. Their idea of by passing the daily content restriction by throwing gil at it is fucking retarded. Costs 1 mil per character to buy into a Umghrik fight, and if you want to buy into a lower tier Sauro boss it costs 330k per character. Batallia is even WORSE: 1.2m per character for mega boss, and 390k for lesser bosses. If this is SE's way of saying "fuck you" to people who bought 18 accounts to bot cruor, its an even bigger fuck you to the people who didnt, and at that rate you're going to run out of gil pretty fast.
Or maybe I'm still just pissed because I have about 20 mil in cruor between my 3 characters that went from possible gil to brew fodder.
If they removed the gating on events a problem they'd run into more than they already do is congestion (Or do people forgot the nights of awesome "shoo shoo"-ing on the Nyzul gate during TOAU's peak), it's probably also the real reason they didn't remove the 3-person requirement for salvage and other similar things.
Maybe one thing they could do is allowing some kind of system where you trade in cooldowns on other events, like trading 50 traverser stones for 1 voidstone or cosmo-cleanse for an extra salvage permit, that sort of thing.
Or they could make their servers not be shit, I suppose.
Yeah that's another thing. Need to get rid of these strict 1 allaince at a time instance fights. Seriously I remember last time my server got access to thw past windy bcnm and it took a lot more time waiting to get in then the farming and travel times combined
I agree that congestion issues would need addressed, which would also require XI to get a handle on true instancing instead of multiple, but limited arena iterations.
As for people beating shit in days and then whining about nothing to do, well, I have a few thoughts there. One, their fault. Relax. Two, that's why SE adds various longevity measures. What if Nyzul was actually a good place to farm Alexandrite?! Or they could do something like getting all 5 versions of a specific gear piece resulting in an HQ of the F100. Slap some daily quests into the equation: Kill a F60 boss, pick a piece of gear from it's tier or a ticket, 50-100 Alex, and 3000 IS. Just little somethings to nudge people to repeat even they may not need the Nyzul items specifically. Heck, they could even add quests for non-mythic holders to upgrade their WS a bit (though you should probably have to be on that job). And this is pretty much just for NNI.
I've really, really, really hated SE's gating and, at best, it justified them very slowly pooping out content and incomplete expansions. And for things where there's no overlap like Dynamis, if you can't play for a day or more, goodbye to whatever resources they could've offered. As for assaults, if their fear is someone going newbie to captain in a day, then can either limit promotion quests to a RL day or even the conquest tally. But assaults also suffered from people being unable to help others because they needed to lock tags for points for salvage or point items they wanted when those were decent.

Batallia works the same way, just more expensive. In addition to the items above, for a gil fee, after an expedition is completed once, the Burrow Researcher can inscribe its completion status to a grimoire that does not have that expedition recorded. The expedition will be recorded as completed and the level of the associated status boon will be set to 1 (the status boon cannot be raised in this manner). This feature can be used to purchase clears to access higher level expeditions or bosses more quickly or to record certain individual status boons.
Level 1 expeditions: 50,000 gil
Level 2 expeditions: 70,000 gil
Level 3 expeditions: 90,000 gil
Level 4 expeditions: 120,000 gil
Anyone know what the two images from the post Mocchi made says? One is for GEO, other is for RNF.
AF at 95? wow!
(I know its in development but it is kinda funny!)
Very smart move, in my opinion. Otherwise, it would be mostly wasted gear, and only situationally useful for some macros.
However, this pretty much denies AF3 gear for them, I think.
Making the AF lv95 means there's no relic equivalent (okay, no drops in dynamis make sense for the jobs since the mainland didn't know the country existed to even ask for help) and no empy's mean no drops from abyssea either (no Abyssea-Adoulin). Only real issue is how would those jobs compare to existing jobs if someone actually wanted to level them the normal (old) way?
On anothre note: If someone got a MW claim slip, could they hold onto it and get a lv90 RUN mythic with it?!
According to the Mog Bonanza post;
So.. no as they will not be in the game until the update on the 26th later in the day, on the other hand you could win a T2 hold onto the cat's eye and turn it in when you get the base mythic weapon from Nyzul, then slave away for the next 50 days assuming you're in possession of 150k+ nyzul isle tokens and have an eye patch already.Prize collection period: 12:00 a.m. (PST) Tuesday, March 12, 2013, to 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013
under the impression its just placeholder.. even the levels.
adding AF in Dynamis would make as much sense as BLU/COR/PUP AF there due to adventurers going back in time and meddling in WotG.
it would be pretty sad if they actually pushed basic AF to 95 as that would mean they'd be taking away the way the gear progresses due to +1, Relic and Mythic AF.
I think maybe we just reading too much into this. Iirc only thing they said new jobs wouldn't get is relic/empyrean weapons
The entire level 95 for AF doesn't make sense at all, as they have already added the placeholders for GEO and RUN AF to the current FFXI and set them at level 52~60.
I'm gonna say it's SE troll work going down, and they are just testing.
<_< yes.
I thought they were placeholder levels lol. Why would these new jobs be any different?
